Le Shrug

"Jasper! Slow down!" Juniper yells at her twin brother as she runs after him. 

"Speed up, Junie!" He yells back as he flees from the aggressor.

Juniper, taking the 'advice' to heart, begins pushing herself past her limit. Her legs begin to ache and her chest burns but she slowly gains on her brother. Jasper hears the sound of her getting closer to him and looks back, and his disbelief, being so assured that she couldn't catch up to him, she's right behind him. He is already running as fast as he can and pushing as hard as he can, but it's not enough to get away from her. 

He feels something brush against his tail and he looks back to see Juniper grasping at his tail as she chases after him. "Hey! Mommy said no tail grabbing!" 

Juniper, despite being frustrated that she's having trouble catching him, stops trying to grab his tail and instead braces herself to tackle him once she's close enough. With one last ditch effort and with her last bit of energy Juniper leaps forward and knocks Jasper to the ground, her landing on top of him.

"Hey!" Jasper screeches at her. Juniper doesn't respond to his protest and they begin to wrestle on the ground playfully. "I'm done, Juniper! I'm tired!" Jasper attempts to stop playing. Juniper rolls off of him with her chest heaving from all the exertion. "I'm tired too." 

They lie next to each other staring up at the sky, both trying to catch their breath from the exhausting play session. Once they're able to speak fluently again they begin to strike up a conversation between each other. "I wish Ash could join us," Juniper sighs. Jasper nods his head in agreement, "I do too..."

"Why doesn't mommy let him play with us?" Juniper asks her brother, as if she expects him to know.

"I think we play too rough. Ash is pretty small," Jasper attempts to explain.

"Oh...right. But what if we played a different game? Where we were more gentle?" Juniper
