Delicate, that's what flowers are before the grasp of mankind or— what will be. Like beautiful art fixtures, they sprouted wildly across its green, ever generous canvas. Twiddling with a plucked leaf, the angel traced his index finger against the veins, each gentle bump and expression branching outward in a calculated and free manner. Behind him were the gentle hands of the cherub, pulling back those long raven locks by three separate parts and braiding the heap. A light hum arose a merry but soft lullaby. “Lucifer?” He called, bringing the lead up to be cast beneath the orangey sun.

”Why do you like the surface? It's so— unkempt.” Almost sighing, he’d knitted his brows. From in the horizon broken fleets of angels surveyed the land, the waters of the surrounding ocean rippling finely before the shore— some angel in the distance was hitching their robe up and nearly falling while running in the sand— you could hear the echo of the laughter and joyous clamoring. Well— Michael wasn’t as fond of as curious as to the vast majority. ”I-I understand why Lady Eden wishes for us to be sent out and experience the planet before the mortal life is placed but-“ sat here with his cherub, the overwhelming sense of— everything about this incapacitated him. It was so different it was difficult to adapt. In heaven, it was just vast, soft white.

Rich blues followed by yellows and pinks before the dark settled in, and then the stars, and that was it. Safety. While the songbird unraveled his frustration, Lucifer hadn’t exactly stopped, he was attentive and listening. ”It’s different.” Settling on that, he’d thrown the leaf to the aide but it only fluttered down, begrudgingly against the force of the atmosphere. ”You don’t have to like it now,”  murmured the pink-haired one, his hair swaying lightly as he tilted it from one side to the other, amber eyes attentively set on tying the ends of Michael’s now done hair with a band of gold.

That chuckle was like the subtle bumbling of wind chimes, light and airy while holding a harmony. ”At first I didn’t enjoy the planet, just as you are now. The spectacle of most everything is unusual, I can agree, but— with time I came to a sort of understanding.” Wings curled around himself to stay warm, it was also to shield himself, that streak of yellow followed by oak browns and that fine line of white that decorated his wings, it curled around the nervous angel. ”Would you like me to share my discovery?” The inquiry was met with a slight nod. The morningstar was known for his gentle mannerisms, his wisdom wasn’t perfect but he lit up a room, never too overwhelming but never snuffed out, like a flickering star in the distance.

”It’s beautiful,” he started, eyes glancing off to eye his surroundings, “In heaven, there are clouds, stars, and each other. We have our Lady, and because of her guidance- we thrive. On Ara, it’s nearly the same.” hearing the sounds of confusion, the ram carried on.”Life here thrives from a source, this boulder— is what makes the grass live, what makes those trees grow, what allows this mass to orbit Solaris. Colour is breathed, this wind- albeit I see how you’re chilly-“ giggling, Lucifer patted Michael’s head to which he earned a light jolt that was soon melted.

”—but it’s an experience. A different kind of living… looking at something scary can really just be different, and so— we must look differently.” Plucking a buttercup from beside himself, he got to his knees and crawled over to face the angel properly. Kneeling before him, the satyr gently drew his hand up to set upon those shielding head wings, pulling one open— he was met with eyes of gold that spilled to those countless freckles. Lips curling upwards, the ram went and pressed his forehead against Michael’s, nuzzling lightly which caused the blond to pull back his wings with an embarrassed smile.

”Have patience, songbird.”
