Riku woke up in a dark place, the musky smell of a cave wafting from behind him and a cool breeze following it. He looked around before noticing the glow of his newly formed horns, only now taking in that he had finally grown up. The voidling got up and headed in the direction of the breeze, his balance horribly off as it was his first time using his legs. A loud clacking and dragging noise was heard behind the void as he quickly spun around, startled by what it could be but putting up a confident front. A large figure crawled from the dark and Riku breathed a sigh of relief. In all the new excitement of his growth, he had completely forgotten he was in his mother's cave. Riku started towards her before she shook her head in means to head him towards the outside. When they finally moved into the light, the Queen chirped happily, admiring her son's tails and proud of what she had made. Riku had been lonely as a grub since he was the only one that looked so different, all the others were smaller and had normal legs to walk on, while he got left behind wriggling to catch up. The voidling looked out at the wide garden before them, excited to go see what all was out there. He chirped a cheery goodbye to his mother before going to explore for his first day of adult-hood.

While wondering around the area, a sweet smell lured the voidling to a little underground house with a vast selection of flowers around it. Large butterfly wings distracted him and another set joined them soon after. The voidling was mesmerized by them and started heading to the garden, soon to be greeted by two other voidlings! The voidlings hummed in surprised but welcomed the newcomer into their garden, giving him the ultimate tour. They didn't see other voidlings often so they were happy to have company. They admired his looks and complimented him, him complimenting them back in an attempt to flirt. The two voidlings enjoyed his company for a while longer before Riku decided to head out again, the day was still young!

After what seemed like forever on his journey, he stopped by a coffee shop he spotted in what seemed like the town area of the hive. He was nervous to meet other Moth Pixies than his siblings, hoping they wouldn't be startled by him. When Riku stepped into the shop he was met by the warm smell of coffee and baked goods, it instantly warming him up and making him relax. A warm welcome soon came from one of the moths behind the counter, the pale baker waving him over to the counter, offering him a quick snack for the first time visitor. Riku was relived the moths in this hive were so welcoming and nice. He felt like he could make such great friends here, and maybe even in some other hives.
