Chapter Warnings: Mentions of being isekai'd, implied character death, someone (Childe) getting possessed like the concept explains. The possession makes him OOC here
One last fight (Childe & Becca angst)
How long had the two been fighting? Becca had lost track of time long ago and as she wiped the blood from her mouth, she couldn’t help but scoff. Leaning against the wall to keep her balance, it didn’t take long for her to stumble again as she clutched her side in pain.
Hearing footsteps, Becca glanced up and she hid a smile as the youngest fatui harbinger walked towards her, a giant hydro blade in hand. Part of Becca wanted to reach for her weapon nearby but she paused. After all, without a vision, she didn’t stand a chance against him and if she was gonna die-it might as well be by someone she loved.
Realizing he had gotten really close so quickly, Becca knew she should run. But all she did was look into his eyes and hide another smile. At that moment, all the various memories she had with him before she got isekai into Teyvat herself ran through her mind. The excitement when he showed up in the gacha, all of the virtual dates they went on, all their weekly fights.. Becca couldn’t help but shed a tear at the thought of it all.
And now? Now she was at the Golden House, after she had been dumb enough to try and get Childe back to normal with a sparring match. Most would’ve never noticed Childe had become a victim of the current hydro archon but Becca noticed, she could read him like a book with how long they traveled together.
Sending a smile Childe’s way, she coughed up more blood and silently cursed, knowing she was probably about to die but also wanting to live at the same time. Becca didn’t have much time to think about it though as she collapsed just as a voice that sounded way too feminine to be Childe’s left his mouth and echoed through the room.
