Nine and Cornchip used to know eachother in the past (acquaintances or friends?);

Nine was already a killer for hire, Cornchip wasn't (?);

They were both badly injured in a fight (between both or maybe a bigger riot? - maybe Nine was hired to kill Cornchip but he put up a fight?);

Cornchip lost his memory - name, friends, Nine, all lost;

Nine remembers most of it (still remembers Cornchip?), and since the incident has done a complete 180 on their personality (and looks?);

 Cornchip's injuries are burn scars and slashes (?) (knife fight?), Nine's injuries are unknown, always covered;

Maybe Arson is the one that found Cornchip lying unconscious and brought him to safety - among the fire nobody could've seen him (was he already there or happened to be passing by?);

Since then Nine and Cornchip went their separate ways, the latter having been accompanied by Arson since - Cornchip isn't aware that Arson saved him though - he woke up in a hospital all by himself and no one could identify Arson;

He does wonder how Arson always finds him and hangs out with him, but he's never been the type to ask too many questions, and, besides, a little company has never done any harm - he trusts Arson despite never having told him that;

Cornchip entered the killer for hire world via Arson, maybe?;

Cornchip obviously can't remember anything that happened prior to ending up in the hospital, but he always feels like something is off - whenever the feeling gets stronger he smokes;

 - When Arson first encountered him after he recovered, he acted pretty much like an old friend "Hey Cornchip! You don't remember me? It's me, Arson!" - Cornchip was in no condition to refute anything he said anyways, so that's also how his name stuck;
