This is the original story that I entered to win this adopt! The writing's a bit sloppy, so prepare for that ;;

The rain beat heavily against the ground, indicating a quite normal and quite mundane night- a quick sigh escaped his lips before plunging the blade into the man’s aorta- though he’d never admit it, it was kind of fun seeing the eyes wide-open in shock and a scream, never having the chance to escape, coming out as only a whisper as the body fell to the floor with a hollow thud. He’d never admit that it was fun to see how little blood he could spill, and how much evidence he could get away with not cleaning up. But he shook those thoughts away. He had much more urgent business to attend to.

He’d been in this industry for a LONG time- and he knew that soon enough he’d have to get going to the sick person that commissioned him to do this work. After all, they never pay. He could go a few days without hot water or electricity. But if the payer DARE put the lives of his six rabbits in jeopardy by taking away the money that paid for their food and well-being, then he wouldn’t have it.

A loud, drawn out siren in the distance. Jolting in surprise, he stood still for a minute- dang, had someone reported the murder this fast?- and promptly began putting on his oversized cat-patterned poncho. Wiping his gloves clean in the rainwater, he left the entire scene as it was- as fun as it was to take his time and laze around next to his newly-dead friends, the risk of getting caught was too high. With a much-too-loud squelch, he took a step towards the obscure ladder on the building.

---

Clack, the door went as it finally submitted to being unlocked. Adrian sighed- he really needed to get his door changed. But not right now. He needed to at least greet his six babies before he got too annoyed.

He stepped into the small entry room to his apartment and smiled- small sniffles and crunching from the other room, he was more than ready to relieve the unexpected stress from having to suddenly escape a scene.

He couldn’t get it out of his head- he planned to do so much with that dude’s body! It may be childish, but drawing on people’s faces would never stop being funny. Not to mention how much organs could get you on the market, truly a shame indeed. Adding to his irritation, that wasn’t even a police siren! Long wails- it was a god dang fire truck. Adrian shook his head. He was fine, the rabbits had food and looked pretty content.

Mindlessly, he played with his rabbits- Sam-Ham softly nibbling on a treat, the world truly was a beautiful place with rabbits.

The peaceful silence was interrupted by an abrupt and immensely annoying ringtone- his phone. This is why I hate this job, Adrian muttered to himself- and picked up the call. “It’s 2:49 in the morning, and a murderer STILL decides to make my life harder? Yeah, yeah, I’ll be right there. Give me a second, I’ll put on my uniform.” After a quick shower, Adrian slipped on his uniform-

“Bye babies, I’ll be back in a hot minute.”

Buckling on a frankly annoying gear sash, he grabbed his baton-

Why did police uniforms have to be so annoying?

EDIT: I forgot to add in the part where we say where the person would fit into our story, I'm so sorry!
He'll be used in one of my main world storylines that I'm developing. I plan on him being a police officer who hides the evidence for his own murders, as he's also a hitman; he doesn't exactly care about "justice" and really just wants to make a few extra bucks for his bunny babies. He has a run-in with Jinan (a teen living in the inner city where Adrian works planning to escape), and ends up entrusting him with his old switchblade. While this may sound like a gesture of kindness, it's moreso to see what Ji does with it- will he be able to escape with hands clean of murder (nobody in the inner city has hands fully clean of crime), or will Jinan end up having to sacrifice some lives?
