Original Outline Draft

-Prologue

--A little magic explanation and the introdcution of Sylvia and Lightning having their daughters, who are revealed to be mixed bloods which is against the rules

-Meet Smokey and Clover Gingerfoot

--Smokey and Clover are the kittens in the prologue but they were dropped down the hole in the ground and raised by another queen.

--The Air skilled cats are all mixed bloods or impurities and live in a cave beneath the island, they are called dwellers

-The First Meeting

--Smokey and Clover sneak out and meet their parents.

--Lilia is watching and confronts them, ready to tear her little sisters to shreds but their parents hold her down and let their daughters get away to their cave

-Predator and Prey

--Lilia hunts her sisters by scent and finds the cave system, she is astounded

--a short chase scene

-The first battle

--Lilia is going to tell the colonies about the dwellers and lead them to drive them out/ kill them all

--Smokey stops her by starting their first of three battles; Smokey wins and earns enough respect for Lilia to keep silent

-Air full of Static

--The dwellers are alarmed

--extra training and hiding the kittens

-Second battle

--Lilia brings members of her colony to massacre the dwellers

--the dwellers fight back, being slightly prepared, and drive out the other colony

-Lightning strikes

--Hearing from Sylvia about what happened, Lightning SKunkface tells his colony that he smelled the green-eyed earth colony on their portion of the island.  

--The colonies battle, but it is little more than a skirmish; Sylvia watches as Lightning rakes his claws along Lilia, a bittersweet scene for her as she agrees her daughter ought to be punished but she doesn't want to see it

-Anxiety Dwelling Deep

--The Dwellers are aware of what happens on the surface

--another cat cares for Smokey

-The final battle

--Much tension before battle breaks out

--THe dwellers are driven out of their cave system and into the open, where they are at a disadvantage

-Climax

--Smokey pins down a young tom and begins pulling out his breath away from him using her magic

--This is Lilia's son and she is frightened for his life, begs for mercy

-a moment of peace

--Confused, the battling cats stare at the scene of three cats

--Smokey asks why she should spare her nephew; Lilia replies that she didn't udnerstand what it was like to lose a kitten

-mother's love

--Sylvia mentions that is how she felt when her kittens had hazel eyes, she hated losing them and always kept them in her heart, and was so excited when she found out they were alive and well although with different names and no memory of her

-Truce

--The dwellers are accepted and earn their place, they reunite with former colony-mates/ family members as mothers and fathers all around run to their offspring

--Sylvia is ecstatic to see her daughters all together, getting along and her grandson taking an interest in his half-aunts

-End

--Smokey has kits of her own

--Promises them a better life
