Erasmus wasn’t going to take his hard earned stuffed prize anywhere near the tanks of water, until his new companions pushed him that way. He didn’t want to ruin it, but he supposed he would just be careful.

There were a variety of water based games. Grabbing rubber ducks out of a pond and getting a prize designated by the color on the bottom was one. The melanistic vay caught sight of dunk tanks, which seemed right up his competitive companion’s alley.

He caught sight of the long eared female and the black male headed towards a dunk tank, and a resounding splash later told him that they had scored. Pants chuckled beside him, the blue rosette male seeming to just enjoy the company.

A flash of color caught his eye, and he found himself drawn towards a fountain with beautiful fish sculpted from the central pillar, water pouring from their mouths. What had distracted him was the colors swirling in the water. He thought perhaps it was magic, until he could make out shapes. They were fish!

Colorful, sparkling, magical fish that flowed in the water. They flashed by in speeds that didn’t make sense for them, and he noticed others trying to catch them, clearly terrible at the timing as they splashed into the water. Pants looked not nearly as bright as the fish in the pond, his blue pent not nearly as eye-catching as he peered into the water.

He saw a sign advertising the game to be a fishing game. Some reos and humanoids had poles, while others used their natural appendages.

“Guy-guys, how about some fishing? It-it, doesn’t look that-that easy.” That statement would surely catch the attention of his more stronger companions. Sure enough, he saw Locke and Kirin slowly heading their way. The colors may have been distracting for Erasmus, but he wasn’t sure if they would have caught the eyes of his companions otherwise.

Kirin snickered as Locke dunked the once confidant human into the freezing tank of water, enjoying the yelping that resounded from the water. The dark puller had practically pulverized the target, the hinges on the swinging sign squeaky as it reset. Locke seemed to preen at the enjoyment of the crowd, though hardly showed it.

Turning around, Kirin made her way towards the pink and blue runners as Erasmus called them over, but she was too lost in the sights that swirled around the giant fountain. Stepping up on the ledge with her front paws, Kirin gazed wide eyed into the water.

Right before dunking her whole head in unceremoniously.

She held her breath, eyes open as she observed the now blurry figures of bright fish dance around and away from her muzzle. With a grin, Kirin raised her head in a hurry, splashing those who had gotten too close to see what she was doing. Water dripped down her long ears, and her twin coloured bangs covered her face.

“Man those fish are beautiful! Where’d you think they managed to snag em? Some sort of magic or some shit”

Dropping down, Kirin quickly shook her head and neck, sending even more water over her companions.

Locke looked on in disgusted amusement as Kirin unceremoniously dunked her whole head into the water, glowing fish easily avoiding her muzzle as she observed them.

She whipped her head out of the fountain, spraying water everywhere as she grinned at everyone. She even spoke so fast that Locke almost missed what she said before she shook off the water that dripped off of her, spraying even more of it everywhere.

Locke hissed a bit at her antics, though wasn’t quite surprised at her actions. Those stupid fish were ridiculously bright colored, putting Pants and Erasums’s bright coats to shame. There were even fish with colors brighter than Locke’s own pink eyes, though he would never admit that to his companions.

Perhaps they should all try and snag one of these ridiculous fish. If anything, Locke wouldn’t mind having a scale or two, just to see if he could make something out of it or whatnot.

Or maybe sell them for a crapton of krones... that’d be nice too.

Locke slid up to the pool, his companions still reeling from Kirin’s impromptu water attack, Erasmus with a startled expression on his face as he tried desperately to brush off the few water droplets that got on his stuffed toy.

The male sighed as he watched the pink male dote over the ridiculous toy, and also at Pant’s as the blue male daintily brushed off the water that was on him as well. Big babies.

Locke wasn’t afraid of water but he sure as hell wasn’t going to ruin his armor by just leaping into the pool. Instead, let’s just heat things up a little.

With a flick of his tail, a small flame sputtered at the bottom of the pool, the colors of the orange flickering magic lost between the unreal colors of the magical fish. It wasn’t cheating if he wasn’t burning the fish, right?

The fish freaked out, splashing around desperately to get away from the foreign object now in their midst. Four fish peeled off from the rest of the group, frantically trying to escape the water they once called home.

Locke deftly moved his singular flame closer to them and that was the last straw for the stupid sparkly things. They flung themselves out of the pool, quite literally leaping out of the water before flopping around on the ground.

The male pounced on two of the fish, ceasing their struggling. Kirin joined in, without even questioning why the fish decided to kamikaze themselves and she took care of the other two.

A quick flick of his paw, Locke sent one of the fish in the direction of the other two males of the group, a grin on his face.

Pants and Erasums’s expressions were absolutely fantastic, confused and astounded at the same time.

“Sushi anyone?” Locke said, poised over his fish of bright sea green.

Take that, you stupid fish!
