At some point, the dark male had wandered off and melted into the crowd. One would think with his large halo of fire, that he would be easy to find, but clearly he had enough of them, and didn’t want to stay with them at all.
It was no big deal to the little group, especially when another puller made way to jump in to join them. The roro male meshed easily into the group, taking the place of Locke with a bit kinder demeanor.
Kirin and the newcomer, Solaris, seemed all about the competitions, and kept trying to find more games to prove who was better. Every little competition was a big deal for them, trying to outdo one another, although thankfully, neither of them seemed to be as scary as Locke, who just about burned things whenever he lost.
Pants did his best to participate in them all, often dragging Erasmus into the fray as well. “After all, we’re here to have fun!”
The biggest challenge was keeping his prize safe. He enjoyed the silly stuffed pegasus with his silky red wings and was terrified of ruining it. It even had a cute little necklace like his own collar. That fear grew even stronger as the pullers directed their little group to a mud pit where teams and then creatures would solo trying to pull one another into the mud over a rope.
“I-I don’t think I sh-should.” He stuttered, trying to stay behind the group. He knew that the pullers would think he was being a pushover and a baby, but he didn’t care. He liked not being covered in mud!
Kirin and Solaris were not taking no for an answer, and they dragged him forward. Pants snatched the plush toy from him, giving it to a nearby vendor for safekeeping. At least the rosette male wasn’t just leaving it out in the open. Still, Erasmus would feel better with it back in his paws. Kirin and Solaris were far too excited for this game, and the melanistic vay just knew he would end up covered in filth. He would need to bathe before reclaiming his toy!
Erasmus already was getting mud on his paws from all the other competitors as he was pulled forward. He had no chance to get away with the clearly stronger pullers determined to get him there.

Game after game, jab after jab and Kirin and Solaris were still butting heads. There wasn’t an official list of wins and loses, not really. But each Reo would often try to boast that no, they had in fact won that game no if ands or buts and would in turn be dragged by the metaphorical scruffs of their necks to the next shoddy game that Pants deemed fun! In all honesty Kirin was now having a blast, Grinning her toothy smile as she walked along Pants and Erasmus, often joking and playfully shoving the smaller pink runner. She even cracked a couple of jokes at flamey pelt himself as he reluctantly kept pace, wondering if the puff of air from his nose could be considered a laugh.
But then she spotted it. A great big, giant ol fashioned mud-pit!
Oh, ho, oh now this was going to be a blast.
“Tug-of-war, right now! My choice for the game!” She shouted, jumping forward and beginning to shove Erasmus forward. Solaris quickly followed suit, flanking the pink runner on the other side. The mud felt ooh so nice and squishy between her toes, and her time in the wild knew that this was some quality stuff. Not enough water to make you stick to it and get stuck, but not too dry as to crack and be filled with grit.
Pants and Solaris split off, grabbing the side opposite to Kirin and Eramus. Kirin quickly stepped up and snapped the thick sturdy rope in her own jaws, grinning at the not very excited looking mud ball beside her “Come Erasmus, you and me!”

‘Oh this was gonna be good’. Solaris thought to himself. Finally a pretty even match between them, one runner on each side of the rope and one puller on each side. While Kirin was bigger than him it didn't necessarily mean that she was stronger.
“Come on Pants, let's show those two who the top vayrons are!” He said excitedly to the blue runner beside him.
The two males both grabbed a portion of the rope on the opposite side to their competition. Solaris could tell Erasmus was not excited at all, if anything the small male seemed almost afraid. Pants seemed to have noticed this as well and gave the golden male a knowing look.
The referee gave the command for them to begin and the boys immediately started pulling with all their strength. For a good few minutes it was evenly matched that is until the pair of males gave another large tug which pulled Erasmus forward into a small spot of mud causing the small vayron to slip and fall to the ground. When Solaris and Pants noticed this slip they both gave one more large tug and pulled Kirin forward into the large pit of mud.
Dropping their rope both males howled in laughter at the sight of the large female covered from head to tail in mud. Kirin seemed to genuinely enjoy the mudpit despite losing the game of tug-o'war she was definitely a good sport. Erasmus however seemed to be pouting off to the side but not because they lost, because he got mud in his fur.
