The sounds of animals made Erasmus think the petting zoo was nearby. He had seen signs for it and heard of others enjoying it, but had yet to find it. He was determined to find the critters, as he wanted to relax with cute little animals.
The sounds nearby proved not to be from the petting zoo after all. The pink and black vay found himself sidetracked to a nearby animal pen, and soon his blue rosette companion found himself next to him.
Reos were in the pen with the animals, placing what looked like oil all over their bodies. The melanistic vay frowned, confuse, while Pants explained.
“It’s a game you see. It makes them hard to grab, and it requires humanoids and vays alike to grab or herd the animals back after they get spooked and scattered. Makes it quite difficult.”
The two males looked over at Kirin and Solaris, and the blue runner had a grin spread wide.
“Hey, how fun would it be to watch those two make fools out of themselves?”
Erasmus responded to the grin with one of his own. They had been competing all day for random things, and it would be hilarious to watch them try to outdo one another.
“This-this one looks hard! I-I don’t know if-if you guys can d-do it.”
He found that his shy stutters made waves in getting those two to move forward with random games, and this time proved to be no different as the pair of them raced forward to beat one another to try to beat one another out. That was proving to be entertainment in and of itself.
It was good timing too, as reos started to get out of the pen after they finished oiling them up. This was about to be a heck of a time.

Continuing to wander around the fair with her ‘new’ found friends (could she really call them friends if all she had been doing all night was making snarky comments and jokes with them/at them? She wasn’t really used to this much social interaction at once) Kirin found herself gazing around at all the new sights that the bright fair provided.
Her long dark ears twitching, she quickly looked around as she realized that Solaris and herself had lagged behind the fluffy pair of runners, quickening her pace to catch up with them and gaze into the pen filled with animals, humans and vays.
She cocked a brow at pants, wondering why the two seemed happy and giddy now. Pursing her lips she glanced at Solaris, glad they didn’t have fire paws around to accidentally set fire to the oil covered animals.
Adding her own grin, Kirin quickly jumped the high fence. “Come on Solaris, let's go roast a pig!” She laughed, only slightly maniacal sounding and enjoying the look of panic that quickly overtook the pink and blue vay’s faces.
Letting out a holler, Kirin put all her strength into bounding across the field with the other cheering humans and vays, doing her best to make sharp turns without the use of a tail to balance herself out.

Oh lord they wanted him to catch a pig? There is no way he and the midnight colored puller we're gonna be able to catch these oiled up pigs. Solaris thought to himself. He had no clue why he let Erasmus convince him to do this one but if it meant he could possibly one up Kirin and beat her then he had to try. His competitive nature sometimes was really a curse. He rolled his eyes at himself then ran and jumped over the fence after the long eared female.
Solaris slid in the mud and oil as he tried to maneuver around the field after a particularly fat pig. He noticed Kirin catching up to his pig instead of going after a different one and growled to himself. There was no way she was going to steal his big fat pig, she could go and get her own! The molten gold puller sprinted faster towards the pig and in an effort to get Kirin to stop chasing his, he threw his shoulder into hers thus knocking her into the mud despite her being several centimeters taller than him. He grunted at the impact and almost fell himself before pushing forward again. He was almost at the pig when a force pulled his tail backwards and dragged him to the ground in the mud.
“What the….???” Solaris spat out bits of mud that got into his mouth upon falling into the mud and looked to the offender who pulled him. Kirin. Of course it had been her.
She was smirking down at him, her body dripping in mud. He grumbled to himself silently cursing the female. He knew it was fair that she had pulled him down after he pushed her but it didn't mean he liked it. Hauling himself up he shook his body free of the blasted mud or at least he tried to anyhow. He did manage to shake some onto Kirin which made him erupt into laughter at her disgruntled expression.
The puller looked towards their companions at the sidelines only to find them laughing so hard they fell on the ground. Both Pants and Erasmus were on the floor just howling in laughter at the two. Despite getting muddy, Solaris had to admit this was pretty fun.
In the end, neither of them won, someone else managing to snag that spot, but it was enjoyable for everyone involved. Solaris bounded over to dump some mud onto the two runners, him and Kirin sharing a laugh at their shocked expressions.
