There was one game that Pants thought he and Erasmus might have a better chance of winning. The pink and black runner wasn’t usually much for winning, but the blue rosette male had been encouraging him nonstop to attempt to put his best paw forward. Previously Erasmus had been using his stuffed animal as an excuse not to get down and dirty, but Pants had found a bystander to hold onto it for him. The melanistic vay was worried it would get stolen, but the cute girl promised to keep it safe.
“Alright you two, let's see what you got.” The fluffy eared runner gestured to their companions, and then over at the race track set up in the middle of the fair, running through the grounds. Being runner build to their new friend’s pullers, they already had a bit of an advantage, but that didn’t make a huge difference if you didn’t know how to run.
Erasmus remembered the time he struggled to keep up with his puller companions that were soldiers and used to the long slog. Pants seemed to be in good shape, and Erasmus didn’t seem to think he could beat the blue rosette runner.
Kirin’s long floppy ears didn’t seem conducive for racing, and Solaris’ tail was either a hit or a miss if that long thing would help balance him better or get in the way of aerodynamics.
Either way, it would be interesting to see who could possibly win out of the four of them, or if they could even work as a team to beat others. A relay race might be fun too. It got Erasmus distracted and he almost missed Pants calling them over.
“Come on you guys, it’ll be fun!” Erasmus wasn’t entirely sure if fun was the right word with those two competitive pullers involved, but at least they should be more worried about beating each other than trying to prove stuff to him.

Kirin was still miffed that out of all of them, the fluffy pink haired brat had been the one to ‘win’ the strength game. Win my ass, buncha bullshit is what it is! The loopy eared vay thought to herself as the group of them continued to wander the grounds,watching as the two runners in front of her were dazzled by each bright stall they walked past. Well at least it's better than Mr.fire-paws winning. She glanced back at the intimidating, crowned Puller, only to remember they had lost him and a different competitive puller had joined them.
But soon her attention was pulled back to the two scheming runners in front of her, cocking a brow underneath her two toned fringe. Kirin’s eyes followed along to where the blue fluffy one (Pants, she reminded herself) had gestured to.
They wanted her to run.
At a half ass constructed, stones-in-the-track, fair ground race track through the park.
Kirin grimaced, her lip turning up and her right ear quirking in irritation.
They had seen what she looked like, right? Long ears, no tail, built like a wall? Fire pely behind her would be no different, she figured; Long ass tail didn’t seem good for turning, and he was built similarly to her. But he seemed… more well put together, maybe even regal if she had to be stuffy about it. Probably had some sort of training for this. Man, she was shit out of luck wasn’t she.
Kirin looked over as Solaris came up beside her, the same frown plastered on his face as they watched the runner pair in front of them bolt off
“Ready for some ‘fun’?” she mimicked.

“Oh yea I’m sure this will be some great fun.” Solaris shot back sarcastically to his fellow puller.
She definitely wasn't going to be getting anywhere super fast, she was even bigger than he was. At least Solaris was built slightly smaller so he may have a chance of at least getting closer to them than she could.
Solaris heaved a great big sigh and started running after the two males. ‘Let's get this over with’ Solaris thought to himself. This was definitely not what he planned on doing today, sure he was fine with the pig catching and the tug o war, but a race??? Definitely not his thing.
The two pullers ran after the runners, their legs pushing their bodies as fast as they could go and chests heaving in an attempt to breathe easier. The pair did eventually catch up to the other vayrons but they weren't out of breath like the pullers were. As soon as Solaris and Kirin caught up to them, the buggers bolted off again! They intentionally slowed down just so they could run off again. ’Show offs’ Solaris grumbled to himself.
He could hear them laughing as he and Kirin approached the finish line and grumbled more. He may just be hangry but he definitely didn't think that race was fair at all, but he wouldn't complain, at least he technically beat Kirin, she collapsed on the ground after coming in dead last. ‘She's so dramatic.’ The gold puller thought to himself with an eye roll as he approached Pants and Erasmus.
“Just you wait boys, me and Kirin will beat you at the next game I'm sure of it.” He told them confidently. He strutted ahead of the group with a cocky grin on his face, and it was hard not to believe him.
