FAIR EVENT 2021
Snacktastrophe! A vendor has had an emergency come up and needs you to watch their stall for just five minutes, they swear. Does your Reosean step up to the plate or get buried in excess popcorn? Draw or write about your Reosean tending the stall (or using the absence of the vendor to swipe some free snacks!), do they get overwhelmed, or do they handle it like a pro?

Ember 013 [Starter]
-Location/Fair-
As the day started winding down to an end, Iniko wouldn't. He was enjoying his new companions, and they were all from different lands. The chances they would see each other again was low, but maybe someday fate would allow it.
"I'm hungry." The tiny chaser's belly rumbled, and Iniko chuckled, steering them back towards food. For a tiny vay, she sure ate a lot. She almost seemed to have eaten more than Koma and him combined, which might explain her boundless energy.
As they approached a stand to grab some cotton candy, the vendor looked at them with wide eyes. "We can't be out! It's almost the end, we have to last till the end of the fair!" With his ears perked, Iniko brought his little posse to the front. "Something the matter?"
“I’m out of stock! Almost everything is gone...” the vendor nearly cried out, panic riddled all over his face. He scrambled through his wares, flipping trays, bowls and torn packages.
He was clearly looking for something that he didn’t have.
“I can’t resume my sales if I don’t have anything to sell!” He rushed while clenching his hair loosely with one of his hands, dramatically letting it slide down his face. He was clearly distraught.
“Hey!” Koma politely called to him in a sharp but friendly tone to get the man’s attention.
When they turned, they gave the ruby runner a questioning look.
“It’s ok, slow down, breathe…” the runner tried to soothe with a smooth genuine tone, he felt bad for the vendor seeing as how trouble they were.
While the man tried to catch his breath and bearings, Koma gave his friends a glance to see if they were all on the same wavelength.
Ember dashed forward, bouncing in place.
"Well I want some cotton candy! Which means you have to go get stuff for it!" Iniko stifled a giggle and smiled, stepping forward.
"What she means to say is we'd be happy to help. Need us to go run and find you something? Or watch to make sure nothing you have left gets stolen?"
He had caught the glance of the ruby and snow runner had thrown at him. The group of them weren't heartless. He maybe was a bit of a thief himself, and might swipe a quick snack when no one was looking, but he wouldn't let the vendor be ruined over it.
"Yeah! What he said!" Ember spent so much time on her tiptoes, Iniko had to wonder if she had extra strength in them or something.
"You will? Oh it's a miracle! I won't be more than five minutes! The fair appeared outside my shop, I just have to leave and duck back in." The vendor did just that, dashing away without another word, leaving the trio alone with the stand.
“Poor thing.” Koma sighed, relieved that they could help in some way at least after watching the vendor flee the scene in a hurry and disappear. But his sigh ran a little deeper than he meant to let show. With the fair ending, he would have to say goodbye to the great friends he had made and it began to feel heavy on his thoughts and morale, hoping it could last longer still.
The trio moved inside the small stall together, it was a tight fit for three Reoseans, but gladly, because of their size differences there was a means for all of them to find a comfortable spot inside the vendor’s shop.
Gladly, the area was quiet for the time being and for now, they only needed to improvise if ever clients came by.
Ember inspected the farthest corner where pots and pans were stacked high together. She found it hilarious to see her reflection in them.
Koma chuckled at her infinite energy and joy, clearly contagious. He sat in-between her and Iniko, making sure that the bulky male had a cozy spot next to him.
Iniko easily settled in by Koma. Standing in the stall he felt too tall, his head and ears bumping on everything above them. He cocked his head at the other male's sigh, but wasn't entirely sure how to interpret it.
Ember though was a good distraction, for when she grew tired of her reflection on the pans, she decided that banging on them was even more entertaining. More than a few passer-bys also found her funny, chuckling as they went past.
"What's on your mind?" The puller asked the quiet male. He served a bottle of water to a customer that came up, thanking him before he pulled back into the crowd.
Ember took it upon herself to jump up to the counter, putting her paws on it to pull herself up higher.
"Hey, we still have drinks! Come one come all!" Iniko snickered again. She was a bundle of joy for sure. He was gonna miss her.
Before replying, Koma let a soft snicker escape his throat, Ember’s antics would always get him entertained and laughing.
“Well...you know.” Koma briefly started, not sure how to really pull the words together, also knowing that once he said them, it would feel even closer to saying goodbye. But he wanted his friends to know how much he appreciated the time spent together.
As guests approached, it became even harder for Koma to let words through, so he let himself get distracted for a while and served the small crowd that started to form thanks to Ember’s brilliant display and enthusiasm.
It brought the runner to smile too for all the happy looking people awaiting their drinks, and let’s be honest, to see Ember’s flair on show mostly.
“Well-” Koma found the time inbetween the beginning of the flock approaching curious at the stall the trio was running, before it would get too busy;
“I guess what I want to say is that, I’ll really miss you guys, and I’m glad I met you.” he admitted, slight blushing pinkening his already red cheeks.
Iniko leaned in to hear the other male better, as he seemed to be pretty shy about whatever it is he wanted to say.
On top of it, Ember's antics were loud, and with the crowd coming in, it made it hard to hear in general. He was going to miss them. The thought made Iniko smile, as he wasn't alone in this.
The vendor chose that time to come back, his back loaded with bags of supplies to finish out the fair.
"Thank you thank you! Now stand back, I've got some cotton candy to make for the little lady!"
As he started to put together one of the largest things of cotton candy that Iniko had seen in his life, the puller dug in his bags for something he had snagged earlier in the day. Not that he would tell anyone he stole it from here. He handed Koma a jeweled bracelet with rubies.
"Here, it would look stunning on you. We won't forget each other no matter how far we travel."
With the vendor thankful and back in place, the Trio exited the stall together, save for Ember who kept watching the man at work with her cotton candy treat until she could feast on it.
Koma handled the gift carefully, stunned by its beauty, but he found a moment for his eyes to leave the beautiful jeweled bracelet to stare back at Iniko admiringly. A wide warm smile spread and he leaned in, nuzzling in the large puller’s neck, thanking him profusely.
Before Koma could pull away though, Ember jumped in, cotton candy stuck to her face and mane.
Laughter ensued and the trio wished each other goodbyes. Thankful for such an amazing time together and hopes to cross paths once again, if not at a fair, to any other occasion.
