Iniko 13582 | Inteus 12071

Iniko had been recruited by the tiny colorful chaser to make party supplies. He wasn’t the only one though, as he looked around, there were a fair few having been recruited in the hall they rented out. There was supposed to be a huge party going on for the Yule celebrations, and they were to help make whatever was needed to have some fun, or so they had been told. The chaos unfolding in the building seemed like a mess, but he suspected the little ringleader that had been going around had a plan in mind.

Looking at another table over, he saw a large tyrian hard at work attempting to make a paper mache pinata. The tiny chaser was nearby giving him tips, and it seemed like they were trying to work together to make something life sized.

Revas chirped on his shoulder, and Iniko chuckled at the smalle gryph. “Alright then, let's go say hello.”

Iniko wasn’t small by any means, but the sandstone puller always felt small compared to the large winged tyrians. The mostly white and gray one was no exception. If it wasn’t for the chaser’s bright and colorful fur, clumpy and calling attention to themself, oh and perhaps the small little colorful friends they had bouncing around, they would have been lost next to the large creature.

“You guys need an extra set of paws over here?” Iniko grinned and immediately stuck his paws into the mache goop. “I’m Iniko, and this is Revas. Pleased to meet you!” He held out one of the paws for a shake, cementing a new friendship with a sloppy introduction.

It was an understatement to say that Inteus was a shy and reclusive creature. The large grey Tyrian always kept to himself, preferring to live in the smaller close knit communities of the lands. Maybe you could say he was coddled, his mother a cherished soft light in his life, all muted colours and love. Inteus didn’t like hunting, he didn’t like the loud noise and the crackle of energy that magic created, he was…less than fond of the cities.

But oh, the bright lights of the yuletide decorations had teased him and drawn the bleached Tyrian closer to the cities, closer to the hustle and bustle of the holidays. He had been enjoying his time watching from above, making slow, leisurely circles before he had suddenly been called out of the sky… but a bright bundle of colours and an extremely loud bark!

Inteus had almost twisted his tail and flew off, only enticed when the puff pall of a chaser had demanded his help. So with some great hesitation he had landed as carefully as he could, and slowly followed the pinata into the large hall.

He had been promptly told to sit, and an assortment of bright coloured paper and cloth had been shoved his way. Inteus glanced at his dual clawed fingers, his short ears flicking in irritation. How in the world was he supposed to accomplish anything! He feared he would only embarrass himself and to add on he was the only tyrian in the hall filled with chasers and pullers and oh no this was going to be horrible-

A large dark and ruby tipped paw had planted itself firmly in the goop that the pinata of a chaser had been mixing, some splatting against white muzzle. Red eyes widened and regarded the newly introduced Iniko, carefully maneuvering his claws/wing to shake the paw offered.

“Inteus,” he offered quietly, the brightly coloured chaser running around grabbing more frilled papers and cloth. “I would very much appreciate some help with whatever it is we’re making, I’m uh-” he waggled his shoulders, the grey leather of his wings ruffling softly “Not very dexterous when it comes to fine motor skills.” Inteus finished with a laugh, watching as the warm coloured puller barked a laugh.

Watching the tyrian being put in an awkward situation was indeed amusing, and Iniko was glad he picked this table to help. The small chaser was likely the most help to the group, with their tiny paws, but Iniko watched as his gryph jumped into the action, getting her own talons coerced in mush and squawking at the pinata looking reosean as if she was the one in charge.

With his grasp on the other male’s talons, Iniko could tell he was a normally shy lad, and he got the feeling that this celebration wasn’t usually his cup of tea. The puller suspected that just like himself, the little chaser dragged him here, which was hilarious considering the height difference, Inteus could eat him for breakfast! How the eye bleeder pelt could have dragged him along was a bit beyond Iniko. Either he really wanted to help, or he was a heck of a pushover, or both.

The puller had to dart forward and grab Reva’s tail feathers as she flung herself into the bowl to make another attempt to scold the chaser for getting in her way.

“Maybe you should sit this one out.” She ruffled her feathers and grumbled but sat on his shoulders obediently for all of a minute before walking off, presumably to find something to wash with.

“So my new friends, what are you guys favorite things about the holiday? I can practically guess you love the parties.” Iniko spoke with a chuckle as he indicated the colorful chaser, who only cheered and giggled in response.

Inteus watched as the white spotted puller quickly corralled his rambunctious gryph, the smallest of smiles tugging at the corners of his mouth and his tail feathers fanning in amusement. He was tempted to reach out and try to pet the fuzzy beast resting about his dark shoulders, but figured his wingspan would only make a mess of the table below him.

Ducking his head, Inteus looked at the… porridge like substance the piñata coloured chaser had made, the brightly coloured fluff ball indicating that the paper needed to be lined with said stuff before being stuck to the shell they had already fabricated. Taking a dark talon, Inteus dipped his finger into the mash, pulling a face at the strange texture but dragging his talon gently across some bright paper to not tear it.

His white ears flicked towards Iniko as he spoke, letting the ruffled chaser bark their excited reply and taking a moment to think on the question. He most definitely did not enjoy the crowds of people or noise that was generated but there were things that overruled the unpleasant experiences.

“The lights are my favourite,” Inteus started quietly, his ruby eyes shifting to meet the rich teal of Iniko's “Flying above the city and villages, it's almost like the night sky is below me rather than above. I’m sure any Tyrian would agree with me”

Raising a talon, Inteus was not shocked when he realized that most of the paper he had been working on was now in fact stuck to his wrist and shoulder, trying to shake it off for a moment before sheepishly grinning at the sand and piñata coloured reo’s before him, who also burst out laughing. Perhaps even with the mess, they had the spirit of the holiday after all.

Collaboration between xQueen0fHellx and PaganStars where each wrote the PoV of their own reoseans.

One of this Reosean’s favourite hobbies is making pinatas and other party decorations. They’re always willing to spread the cheer and teach their skills to others, even if the other Roesean isn’t quite as on board with it as they are. Draw or write your Reosean making party supplies with Pinata. Does your Reosean make some lovely holiday decorations, or does their work leave something to be desired?
