Iniko 13582 | Deimos 4702

Iniko never realized how much work was needed to do over the holidays. Crafters and artisans galore were busy beyond belief. It should come as no surprise then that Iniko would get recruited yet again for assistance. This time it was by a gorgeous tyrian, whose wings resembled the stained glass they made. Iniko had made a few passing flirts, but the tyr seemed oblivious, probably used to the comments and catcalls.

The sandstone puller and his rainbow colored gryph companion were instead paired up with a dark blue male with some fancy misty markings. White markings across his eyes resembled scars, and gave him a battleworn look even if he didn’t carry any scars. The two of them roamed the ground while the tyrian flew from above. All of them were laden with bags as they were on the hunt for supplies the gorgeous winged reosean needed for their craft.

If Iniko was back in his own country of Thedale, finding sand would be easy. Finding it elsewhere was almost impossible, and the thought boggled him after seeing so much of it for so long.

The other vayron had introduced himself as Deimos, and what little Iniko had seen from his personality, it seemed opposite of the scary look he gave off. Which was all fine and dandy.

“Hey, over there, I think I see some dirt that looks of the right color.” From the sky, the tyrian could spot things better, and they hadn’t been terribly wrong thus far leading the group.

Yuletide was a favourite time of Deimos’; he enjoyed the bright twinkling lights and tinsel that would decorate streets of the villagers and cities, the smell of fresh baked goods was almost always wafting about the wind, and just about every artist or crafter in all the lands had bright and enticing new wares to offer those who walked by. Deimos was a large, dark Vayron, with gleaming red eyes and gentle streaks traveling down his face. Learning that he was a fan of yuletide often brought the raising of eyebrows and soft “oh!” in surprise.

Deimos had been practically dragged into the workspace of the large copper and teal Tyrian, the big beast flitting about the pleasantly warm workspace as they had explained their need for supplies. Supplies for what? Deimos had thought, before his eyes widened at the glittering sculptures and hanging pieces that decorated the space. He had been promptly shoved next to a spotted and dark blanketed chaser, offering them a quick smile and introduction before listening to the stain glass artist's instructions.

Wandering out of the city and into the wilderness, Deimos realized that he had little idea what the gold accented Tyrian was actually looking for.

Flicking his white tipped ears and clearing his throat, Deimos looked at Iniko, wondering if the sandstone chaser had any idea. Mouth half open, Deimos had lifted his red gaze to the soaring Tyrian above them as they called out, only to find himself more confused. Dirt?

“Did they say dirt?” Deimos had leaned down, whispering into Iniko’s long ears. The shorter Vayron shrugged in a ‘I dunno’ sort of way.

The bright and dark Vayron’s had proceeded to lightly jog to where the stained glass Tyrian had instructed, finding themselves at the bank of a river, where the dirt was in fact, a much lighter and gray colour.

“Must be mixed in with the sand and pebbles from the river,” he paused, raising a dark eyebrow “Hey maybe we could find some nice stones in the river banks too!” Deimos flashed a black fanged grin at Iniko before stepping slowly into the shallow water, careful not to go too deep.

“I thought we were looking for sand!” The other puller laughed as he dug into the dirt, finding the clay consistency might be exactly what the tyrian might need. Deimos had the right idea too, and his pelt sparkled as he splashed into the water, looking for rocks. Being washed by the water’s passage, it would be easy to see which ones were the prettiest. The glass looking tyr easily could use some for accents in their art, use them for eyes or accessories.

The sandstone puller got to work digging though, finding sand by the river, and clay a bit further out, both having their uses. Being from Thedale, Iniko knew that glass could be made from the sand if it was good enough, and the winged reosean landed nearby to judge the quality of the sand on the banks before giving a nod of approval for him to scoop it into his pouches.

The tyr then turned to Deimos, and the pair fawned over rocks in the river. Iniko got sidetracked by watching them, and Revas had to screech in his ears to take his attention off the gorgeous pair, and work on what he was tasked to do. He gave her a quick snarl before digging back into the dirt, filling his sacks and feeling more than a little overloaded. They weren’t too far from a treeline, so Iniko dashed over to find some fallen wood and anything he could use to lash it together to build a sled for the pair of pullers so their load would be lighter once they returned. Dirt and rocks really added more weight than he was used to carrying.

He saw both sets of eyes light up once he returned with his materials, and he gestured to them to keep gathering while he whipped it together.

The water was chilly as it licked up at the dark puller's legs, causing the fur along his spine to ruffle and a tingle run up his long ears. The sun reflected against the starry pattern of his hide, and he couldn’t help but admire his reflection for a moment before shifting the focus of his eyes on the rocks underneath. His red eyes shifted to Iniko as the spotted puller barked a laugh about sand and dirt and Deimos smiled, shaking his head before dunking it underneath the cool slow moving waters.

The gentle current tugged at the front of his dark mane, and Deimos took a moment before grabbing a sparkling, deep turquoise rock, its smooth texture pleasant in his mouth. With a slight flourish of his head, he tossed it towards the shore, watching it land before he watched the sunset coloured reo begin digging through the ground “I don't think they’ll mind a couple of extra gems tossed into their art!”

What Deimos didn't see was the descending shadow of said stained glass tyrian, only realizing when a large cascade of river water soaked his body. Stunned for a moment, Deimos couldn’t help but laugh with the copper and teal Tyr as they both turned their eyes towards the river bed.

Glittering rocks soon began to line the side of the river, and when Deimos’ deemed that his black paw pads could no longer stand comfortably in the river, he turned with his tyrian companion and made way to their collection.

Iniko had already had the genius idea of building a makeshift sled for their collection of rocks, pebbles, dirt and sand and the two pullers quickly piled everything up and secured it. Then the night sky and sunset pullers each took a lead rope, and began to head back towards the city, the dark shadow of the glass painted tyrian leading the way above.

Materials are needed to do work, and with how busy Stained Glass has been over the holiday season, they find themselves running low on essentials. They need a surprising array of items—everything from sand to wood and little knick-knacks to decorate their finished glass products. They ask your Reosean to join them in collecting materials. Draw or write your Reosean collecting things with Stained Glass. What do they grab? Something of use, or perhaps they tried their best, but didn’t quite manage…
