Reef's Doppelganger

Reef made their way through the small central market square of their hometown. It was a noisier than normal trip they noted to themselves keeping their head down while trying to get their morning errands completed without getting dragged into the large hoopla.

"Hey you! Blue One!" A scolding elderly voice rang out.

Reef held their gaze to the ground hoping there was another blue Kiamara in the area the other being was calling out to. They continued to try and get away from the scary voice.

"Don't you run from me!" The Old ladies voice rang out again, "I saw you nab all of the sun Cookies from poor Gus and you need to return them now!"

They sighed knowing that they weren't anywhere near the being called Gus, but didn't want to cause any more of a fuss than they already had. Looking up Reef spotted the elderly Kiamara with a grouchy, disappointed look on her face. "I didn't take anything from someone named Gus, I'm just trying to pick up some snacks for later." They tried to defend themselves.

"Nuh, uh you youngling," The elderly female had a scowl on her face now, "I saw you, a young blue Kiamara with...." She paused taking a closer look at the Blue Kiamara she was scolding, "Now... maybe I was wrong your nose is quite pink.... Well any way I need you to help our Robot friend Gus to locate their lost Sun Cookies. Shouldn't be too hard. I saw a young Blue Kiamara run off with all of them. Off you go Tut Tut!"

The elderly one didn't give Reef a moment to respond before turning back to Gus to console the robot.

"I guess, I can look around but where would I start? It's not like being blue is a big descriptor." Reef mumbled to themselves as they made their way away from the stalls and markets holding their gaze higher to try and spot another blue being.

It didn't take long for Reef to walk past the playground near the central market that he spotted something. They couldn't believe their eyes, "No wonder the lady back there was so sure it was me." Reef stared in the park at three small Kiamaras circled around a bag full of sun cookies and one looked nearly identical to Reef just instead of a bright pink nose they had a dark navy blue one!

Hesitantly they made their way to the trio, "Uh, hey... uh beans... I think you need to return those cookies."

"BEANS?" Reef's Doppelganger gasped, "I HATE BEANS, I DON'T WANT TO EAT BEANS."

Reef sat and watched in astonishment as the trio of small Kiamara's dashed away from the bag of cookies leaving the now obviously older Kiamara with them.

They grabbed the bag and returned to the market, having to take a moment to locate the stall due to them not paying attention to where they were the first time. Reef plopped the bag on the table in front of the robot who leaped for joy singing a chorus of "guseGusGUUUUUUS!"

The elderly Kiamara was no where to be seen, so Reef quickly made their way back home having had enough adventure for the day.
