It wasn’t something found or inherited, although it appeared to be abandoned it seemed like home. Alfons hadn’t always lived here and yet, he doesn’t quite remember where he was before finding his place of residence. He remembers adding onto it, more not perfect, thrown together houses. They weren’t the prettiest but hey, they kept the rain out. The houses that were there before, with rusting walls and holes in their roofs had been repaired. It was a town, an old abandoned, thrown together town that Alfons had made a home. It had been empty at first, just the vernid, Apollo, Ash and Beelzebub. The town had been far more ragged before then.

It felt as if just the wind itself could blow all the houses down and apart and at one point it had. Had he not had dragons when it happened it might have killed him. He had been working on one of the more put together houses when a large gust of wind blew through the town, bringing sheets of metal from a smaller house with it. He remembered the sound of the metal colliding with something and when he looked back to see what had happened, Apolla had two sheets of metal stuck to her tail and a cut on her shoulder. There was more clattering and Alfons turned to see the rest of the house flying away. Somewhat good conditioned materials that could still be used. He watched it go, not bothering to waste energy to run after it. He could always send a dragon with money to get more materials if he couldn’t find it himself.

Regardless of all the hardships that came with living in the old abandoned town, it was home, flaws and all. He had more dragons now and a few eggs that one of his newer dragons, Bagheera would take care of. Out of all the dragons, not including Apolla, Bagheera had the best control over her fire and could produce extra warmth without burning the eggs. She had her own house, bigger than some of the others but they all had houses in their little town, so no one could really complain.
