Personality:

~

He has no base personality. He is very bland and doesn’t understand the meaning behind personality. He has an over analytical mind and doesn’t understand concepts such as feelings, as he has never been taught what they are. He never was around emotions growing up, and although he experienced them as a child, he slowly became like those who interacted with him- emotionless. He is very matter of fact. He cuts straight to the point, not liking to waste time on “small talk.”

He is childlike you could say, in a manner of speaking. He has lived in a controlled environment for almost his whole life. Finally becoming free and allowed to experience the world around him is both intriguing and overwhelming to him. Since he’s not used to many interactions, many people at once does tend to make him uncomfortable for the moment, although each new interaction grows him and allows him to learn how to interact with the world and with others in it.

His frame of reference for the world has not been fully formed. He has visited one city, which he did not like. He prefers to stay away from densely packed places and likes the outdoors, or places that have monsters. He doesn’t have a very well formed self image. He knows what he is, and that he is different from the others around him because of his over analytical mind mixed with his unusual upbringing. Yet, he doesn’t view himself negatively. But, this distinction of a difference between himself and others has him yearn to learn more about other ptithions and creatures that aren’t as common. He hopes through the discovery of more things about the world, through learning about the more unknown parts, he will slowly discover himself and what he is, as he doesn’t know anything about the self he has deep inside.

He does tend to follow certain people of interest. He does not do it with any ill intention, nor does he ever cross boundary lines that others may set. He is obedient, and chooses to follow others' wishes and commands. Stalking as some may call it, but he will quickly put it to an end with a single word of retort from the ptithion he’s following.

Backstory:

~

An interesting life that Jupiter has lived. Unknown to him, he was born to a single mother who was too overwhelmed to figure out how to handle the baby she had been surprised with. He was left at someone’s doorstep, and that person put the extra small rubasyn baby up for adoption. The baby was adopted by two scientists, going to live in a large laboratory.

The scientists were quick to subject the baby into their planned experiment. No, the experiment was not anything to do with changing the genetic make-up of the child, or anything else. It was a lifelong committed experiment to see what would happen if a child was kept from regular interactions as seen in the world. That was how he grew up, only ever living in one large room, white bedding and white walls, everything but him was white. He was given foods, but they were always very plain. He was also given simple, factual books that were made to relay facts with no emotion.

He also had minimal interactions, but the only interactions he got were with one of three scientists. They portrayed no emotions when they interacted with him, and the interactions were short. He was never mistreated, and never developed any ill-will towards others through this experience. He was conditioned that it was normal and that things were always like that. He read many scientific books and studies, as that was the only thing that was given to him. This grew a sense of curiosity to see things, and find out facts to write down to create books and novels. He read all about wildlife in the world he had never seen before, along with the other sentient beings. The more he read, the more he yearned to learn more, to discover his unseen world.

The opportunity came one day.

The day was special for him, despite how horrific it was to everyone else in the lab. A pack of windiages got into the lab and everything was suddenly interrupted. He was suddenly let out of his cell, shooed out by one of the scientists, who was expressing a sudden emotion that he didn’t understand. He was pulled out of the room by the panicked lefika scientist, which caused him to rip the page of the book he was reading out as he tried to grab the whole book by that page. He was rushed out into the wilderness, but he didn’t have any time to marvel at the sudden flora and fauna around him.

He looked behind him to see one windiage coming for them. He managed to get away from the winidiage, but was left separated and now apart from anything he had ever known. From that point on he used everything he had ever read to find his way through the world he had never seen, but always knew existed. He had many different interactions, but he never knew how to handle them.

He generally shied away from regular interactions and focuses more on specific interactions with things and people he would like to learn facts about. One of the most impactful things he experienced was his naming scenario. It took him a while to grasp the concepts of names for other creatures, but once he did he decided to name himself off of the last thing he had from his odd growing up situation. The page he had clutched in his hand after the attack, he had kept. The page was from an astrology book, one with the stars and planets. The planet Jupiter was what the page was about, and he decided that names were just random words you took interest in. He decided that Jupiter would be a decent name, something identifiable and that he held some sort of connection with.

Fun fact: He has autism
