Qyii and Soulska's Final Meeting [Intro]
Ythrill finally grants Soulska one final conversation with Qyii, though the quanix perceives it only as a dream.
Seeing as this was as comfortable as Qyii was going to get curled up in Yossavir’s cart, he tried his best to sleep. The voices of the others chatting by the fire soon faded away.
He opened his eyes to a lovely dream: the world was bathed in white, and a pearly lake stretched onwards towards the infinity before him. His gaze softened at the mere sight of it. The way the water took the nothingness around it and warped it into light speckles of opalescence… it was brilliant and filled him with a calm, relaxed feeling. A figure was making her way towards him, walking across the surface of the lake leaving iridescent ripples where her feet touched the water. She was bathed in a beautiful haze and ringed halos created out of the Veil circled the pair of thin antlers that curled behind her head. Her robe matched the purity of their surroundings and her eyes, although hollow, imbued Qyii with a sort of emotional weightlessness. He was not concerned, or happy, or baffled by her existence; merely calm, relaxed, and clear of mind. The Being of the Veil stopped at the water’s edge and offered to Qyii an outstretched hand. Existence itself whispered her intentions to him. She was giving him an opportunity. He was under no obligation to follow. After staring into her empty eyes for a moment more, Qyii stepped forward and gently placed his hand into hers. He took in a breath and stepped up onto the water, a wisp of steam colored in pale hues rising upwards as he made contact with the lake's surface.
The scene shifted seamlessly, and the figure was no longer with him. He was standing on the lake’s surface, and behind him-...
Qyii suddenly turned around and the soft, calming aura lifted.
Standing before him was Soulska Valget.
