An introduction post for Lylith's initial experiences on earth. It's outdated. And doesn't go anywhere. Like a lot of the stuff that I write.

Once a functional celebrity in a society of explorers, engineers, and scientists that had hoped for nothing more than to peacefully understand the universe in its grandeur, but now just another wanderer trudging through the woods that surround Cardio, Virginia; Lylith ‘Maxiis’ Espurrous fits the persona of a clueless city dweller stumbling through the thick forest perfectly, as “trudging through the woods” wasn’t an exaggeration in the slightest. He was taking every step forward in which he doesn’t get his hair, clothing, or feet stuck on the local flora as a tremendous victory and his only means of maintaining any sort of positivity was by noting that the rate of these little victories has been steadily increasing as he spends more and more of his time in this oppressive heat. Not even the shade from the trees helped shield him from the dog days of summer, and the sheer density of foliage blocked the breeze as well. The worse part about the weather was how it correlated with his attire. In short, it didn’t; he was dressed to accommodate the chilly breezes of late autumn with a long sleeved shirt, thick pants, and coat. His coat had long since been removed and folded over one arm to be carried, but was constantly catching on the aforementioned local flora. In that same hand was a brown paper bag covered in the crayon doodles of the child that had gifted it to him. Despite nearly twenty minutes of conversation neither learned much of anything about the other. The girl spoke in an unrecognizable language, but despite that, she still offered him the bag upon his departure. It contained a simple lunch consisting of a PB&J sandwich, an orange, an apple flavored juice box, a homemade oatmeal raisin cookie, and a single white crayon- the girl had removed the other colors. Lylith couldn’t identify what specifically the food items were, but he had made broad assumptions during a previous break from his travels.

He stopped to untangle his coat from a low hanging tree branch, but instead of moving on he leaned against a tree and took a moment to observe his surroundings and think on his situation.
