It had been a while since Beaux had taken part in an agility competition; almost two years, in fact. Still, the collie wasn't worried in the slightest about being a little out of practice. The competitions were never really about winning for Beaux. He went to have fun and make new friends. If he was lucky, the collie would learn some new tips that he could share with his pack once he returned. That was Beaux's real talent.

Beaux was thoughtful and observant, two qualities that he took to every Beaumont Collie meetup. When he competed, he spent more time watching his competitors than focusing on his own performance. He picked up tips and tricks that he couldn't get back on the estate. Once he returned to the pack, his age and experience allowed him to both explain and demonstrate what he had learned to his friends. Beaux had a knack for tailoring his teachings to each individual dog.

It didn't matter how each of them preferred to learn. Beaux was adaptable, and listened to each of their needs. Meir needed repetition? Beaux was patient with him even through the end of the sixth demonstration. Ember wanted to work through it by himself? Beaux waited to be approached before offering pointers. Even the dogs of different breeds, Beaux seemed to know exactly how to help them.

It was a quality he was extremely proud of.
