"What Do You Mean Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day?" Sachi slightly tilted her head to her side, looking confused at what Cloudpuff, her new friend, was trying to explain to her. This year's the first time she visited the village because her Master wanted her to learn something about this festival.

“What do you mean tomorrow is Valentine’s Day?”
“It’s exactly what it says, tomorrow! 14th of February,” Cloudpuff, her new friend whom she just met, said with sparkles in his eyes. Sachi slightly tilted her head to her side, looking confused at what Cloudpuff was trying to explain to her.

Valentine’s Day? What’s that? Who is Valentine, and why does he matter? Was she the only one not knowing what that day means? But she did notice the other Froads around her were acting weird; like they prepared some sugary food, decorating houses, she even saw some were giggling when they’re writing on pieces of decorated papers! Sachi spent all her life living on the mountain with her master, and this year's the first time she visited the village. She had zero clue on what’s going on. She bet her master sent her there on the wrong time of the year. It’s already weird seeing so many people living in one place, it’s even weirder seeing them acted like this. It’s good that she met Cloudpuff before she could knock some senses into those Froads. By knocking, she meant literally knocking them.

“You’re not from here, are you?”
“I’ve only seen this place from afar, never engaged with any of the people, I see no point in making interaction with no reason to do so,” Sachi replied coldly, but she didn’t seem to know that her reply was cold and emotionless.
“That means…”
“??”
“That means we’ve got a lot of work to do!!” Cloudpuff screamed and jumped around her, much to her dismay. What work? She’s not interested in doing pointless work. Before she could say anything, Cloudpuff pulled a small whiteboard seemingly out of nowhere and began to write explanations and stuffs on it. Where did he get that thing? Was that the magic her master wanted her to know? She got interested, maybe she could learn a thing or two about that magic.

After Cloudpuff had finished writing on that ‘magical’ white board, Sachi opened her mouth to ask some questions but he immediately put his index finger right in front of her muzzle while mouthing ‘shhh’ with a gleeful smile.

“Valentine’s Day is a day when people show their affection for one another with love and gifts! Aaaaand-” Cloudpuff continued explaining on and on about what a Valentine’s Day was or what people were doing in or before those days, but Sachi didn’t really pay attention after the first sentence. Sachi frowned, never in her life had she ever heard something so pointless. At this point she wanted to just go home and continue her training on the mountain, but she knew her master would not be pleased if she did that, and she didn’t intend to go back home before she could learn this ‘magic’ her master wanted her to understand.

“So, what do you think?” Asked the overly happy Froad in front of her. She snapped back to reality and nodded eventhough she didn’t really get what he meant.
“What do you want to do now? I’ll help since I’m done with mine!”
“I, uh… Maybe cooking,” Sachi answered, she’s unsure on what she wanted to do, but cooking had to be the least pointless thing to do, right?
“Aw yeahhhh, cooking it is then! What do you want to cook? I know some cooking that can represent the festivities ~! There’s puffy flatbread, corsub marmalade, sweet hand pie, sheep meat sandwich-”
“Sheep meat sandwich sounds nice, yeah let’s do that,” Sachi stopped him from going further on the list of cookings they could made. Sheep Meat Sandwich sounded good, more training for her, she just needed to find where the sheeps were and kil-

“Awesome, I’ve got some sheep meat in my house we can use!” And with that, Cloudpuff pulled her hand, half-running, towards his house. There went her plan to ‘fight against sheeps’ down the well. He took Sachi to the kitchen and brought out the sheep meat. The kitchen itself isn’t too flashy like she imagined. It consisted of 2 doors connecting to the kitchen, one to the outside, and maybe the other one the living room, a casement window above the counter, kitchen set with mostly soft coloured utensils, an average height roof with cute decoration; flowers and heart shaped papers hanging everywhere, maybe to commemorate the Valentine’s Day? She didn’t know nor would she care to understand.

After getting the ingredients needed to make the sweet and savoury sheep meat sandwich, they started pounding and cutting the meat into cubical pieces in the kitchen. Sachi had never done non-combat activity with anyone before, and to be honest, she kind of liked sharing this weird, new feeling with someone. ‘Maybe this wasn’t so bad,’ she thought to herself. Sachi cut the meat effortlessly and taught Cloudpuff how to do it. Surviving the mountain’s harshness had made her aware of how to kill and cut meat of her preys efficiently.

Before long, Cloudpuff had mixed the spices needed (and of course, gave Sachi the recipe), they then rubbed the spices onto the meat, and began cooking it. They also took the bread Puff bought earlier and put them on the counter, cut the middle of the bread, then put some lettuce in it. After the meat was cooked, they put the meat inside the sandwich and poured some warm gravy onto the meat.

“It’s finally done!”
“Cloudpuff,” Sachi called him with a softer tone than her usual voice.
“Yeah?”
“Thanks for teaching me about Valentine’s Day,”
“You’re welcome! I hope whoever gets your sandwich will be happy, hehe!!” She smiled back to the happy Froad and left the place, bringing with her the newly acquired food. ‘Master would be so proud of me for making this cooking.’

While she's bringing the food back to her master to celebrate this 'Valentine's Day,' Sachi thought that she now understood what her master wanted her to learn in the village; that training wasn’t always about fighting, but it’s also about patience, intelligence, and application of survival skills. That’s not exactly what master wanted to teach her though, but hey a lesson is still a lesson, maybe next time she’d understand more about Froad interaction and society.
