Princess ShortCake's Birthday

1) Excited to see everything Haz originally intended to arrive as early as possible however, he ended up getting a bit distracted and completely lost track of time. It was a bit into the afternoon before they stopped to take a break and realized what had happened. He ended up rushing to get there and in his haste forgoing his corset.

2) The amount of people scattered about inside is high enough to bring up a bit of fear in the shy Taur. Suddenly very conscious of his disheveled state he briefly debated leaving. However the sounds from the game alley caught his attention before he could 'surely a quick peek can't be that bad.'

3) The sights and sounds of it all bring up memories from yearly visits to carnivals as a child. A sort of childish excitement fillings them and the thought of leaving becomes the farthest thing from his mind as he explores. He still strayed from the games with large crowds but if anyone stared he was too giddy to notice. There was just so much to do! Hazelnut ended up playing as many games as possible, with varying levels of success and failure. Most noticeable of these was when they tried to play the game where you shoot the star and before he could even fire, accidentally tipped the little balls out and all over the counter.

4) Haz was a bit cautious of the crowd gathered around someone but with the last bits of adrenaline still running through his veins he got close enough to see what the commotion was all about. When he saw the Queen he just kinda froze up, a bit scared to move for fear of being noticed. Reasonably there was nothing to fear, after all she'd never done anything to be scared of. Still Hazelnut tried his best to smooth the wrinkles in his dress shirt as he made his way away from the royal as quickly and subtly as he could.
