Rain poured, creating a repetitive ambience outside their window. Soulsand was in the arms of Dox, the both of them staring outside the window as raindrops fell from the heavens and onto the earth. It was calming and peaceful. For a moment, Soulsand wondered if it was alright to feel so at ease. There was so much to do, so much to keep track of, was it truly alright to feel so happy? She gripped onto Dox's fur a little tighter.

Dox could feel the racing heartbeat of Soulsand, and although she was prone to teasing and flirting, she was also a wise eldritch monster who knew that it was not the time to do so. She may not understand the way mortals like Soulsand always felt, but she knew what she could provide for her. She held Soulsand closer to her, and Soulsand snuggled deeper, seeking out the comfort of Dox. The rain washed away many things, and tonight, as the two embraced each other, the rain also washed away the stress and pressures of life. Tomorrow would come with its own issues, but that was for tomorrow. The two stared outside their window, watching the raindrops fall from the heavens.
