fools in love

the sun shone brightly. The clouds soared across the sky with the wind, the afternoon "breeze" was enough to ruffle Dia's fur.

Dia finished taking a drink from the lake, the freshwater vanquishing her quenched thirst. Dia sat up, she smiled and watched the birds. She stood up and started walking, soon the walk turned into a sprint, then the sprint turned into a run. Dia  ran as fast as the wind, letting it mess up her fur as she did.

suddenly she heard a noise and halted, she looked over. It came from beyond the bushes. She slowly crept up and peeked through. There was a cabin. She approached it slowly, then something came up behind her. "Boo!" It shouted.

Dia jumped and turned around, she was pink. She looked like some sort of hybrid. "Im Pinkmaw! But everyone calls me pm!" She said

Dia blushed and turned, her eyes widening. She spaced out for a minute, "Oh! I-I'm Dia." She said. "Oo! Thats a pretty name!" Said Pm. "Wanna hangout?" She asked as a grinn spread across her face.

Dia thought for a minute, flustered. "U-uhm.. y-yeah sure!" She replied. Her voice a bit shaky. Pm smiled, "great! I gotta stay here, but wanna hangout tonight?" She asked. Dia nodded, sitting down. Her tail wrapped neatly around her paws.

Later the same day, just before sunset Dia arrived at the cabin. She waited a couple minutes. Minutes turned to hours. She waited until after dark finally, pm came back.

"So sorry about the wait! I got really busy!!" She exclaimed. Dia nodded, "it's alright! Where did you want to go?" She asked. Pm thought for a moment, "oo follow me!" She ran off, Dia followed close behind.

Pm had lead her to the lake, Dia smiled, "I come here all the time!" She said. "So do I its my favorite spot! What a coincidence!" Pm replied.

Dia and Pm had hung out for awhile, they went on a walk, swam in a lake and stargazed. When it was time for Pm to leave, Dia had something to say.

before Pm had left, Dia ran after her. "Wait I have something to say!!" She said. She was shocked she had even said that but, it just came out of her. Pm looked behind her, "what is it?" She asked. Dia's face grew red and her ears got hot. "I- I think I l-like you..?" She said, she then she instantly reacted and covered her mouth with her paw...

Pm's jaw dropped in shock. "I.. do too." She smiled.
