It was a midday moment, when Tancho came out of his little abode on the seaside cliffs of the city; he didn't like the hustle and bustle of it all. Rather, the faint cries of wildlife, and the brushing of the sea were all he needed. He stood there, tall as ever, and rather glorious with the sun glinting off the gold reflective marking on his body. He smiled, today would be the day that he gets to do whatever it was in his little garden that needed to be done. He adore it, as it surrounded a small pond with small and large colorful fish in it. Around it was various wildflowers and blueberry bushes that he had grown himself. He was quite proud of how it turned out.

However, today was different. When Tancho came outside, every single blue flower and all of his blueberry bushes were wrecked and missing! It was like a small tornado came through and ripped each blue flower off the stems, and then ate all his blueberries. Tancho stood there, angry. His inner ear and mouth turning black as a low growl escaped from him. Who would dare destroy such a beautiful place with his blueberries and blue wildflowers? This devastated him, and he sat down on the ground. It was the one thing he had been so proud of, and loved to show off to his friends when they would come over. Now? It was a pond with trampled flowers and a few very said looking blueberry bushes.

Tancho sat there staring at it for quite some time, and then got up. He had to try to catch the little beast or the one that did this! So, he began to devise a plan to make a trap. It was obvious that whatever did this, really liked blue. So, he walked around the trampled mess and began to pick any blue flowers that survived the onslaught. after he was done, he walked back to the path from the house to the garden. After a few moments, he had acquired a box, a stick and a piece of rope. he placed the blue plants down, then the box on top and propped it up with the stick. He tied the rope to the stick and unraveled it til it was at his window. Now? All he had to do was wait. Wait until whatever was eating flowers and berries from his garden was captured.

*An hour passed by, and nothing yet. No movement, no sign of any creature. Was this all a hoax that someone was playing on him, was someone jealous of how his garden grew so easily ? Tancho sat there, elbow propped on his knee. He held a look that read boredom. He could have been off to see a friend by now for sushi, but, no. Here he was annoyed that his day was spent trying to capture something, and not out at the boardwalk enjoying the warmer weather and as much sushi as he could possibly want to eat. A sigh fled his nostrils, yet before long, he looked over and saw a Lantern beetle walking along. Was this the culprit? Probably not. Tancho got up and walked over to the beetle and picked it up. He let it crawl all over his hand awhile.

This distracted Tancho, for, he had his back to the trap he set; and the creature that did this horrifying act of each all his blueberries and lowers. Behind him, that creature was back, and found a way to get the treat itself to the pile of delicious blues. After the creature was done, it had wondered off. This caused Tancho to turn around and stand there defeated because his trap was a defeat crumble of green remains from the blue flowers and blueberries. he placed the beetle down in the garden, and sighed. He would have to try again, some how, some way. So, back to the trampled remains of his garden, and back to picking what remained. Tancho would not let this creature win!

Tancho had picked a few larger flowers and a few smaller ones. He sighed, and placed them under the box. He went back to the few blueberry bushes and picked a handful of them as well. He placed them under the box as well. He stood there for a moment, and then walked over to where he was perched, determined to not get so easily distracted again. However, once again, he had become distracted. But, that was only until he heard a low bang, and then something scrambling around. Tancho looked over to his trap, and it was moving all over the place. IT WORKED! He ran over and threw himself over to it and subduing that box! He placed his hand upon it, and looked around then panic ensued. What was this under this box.. should he look?
