Darkness is...

"Darkness is... bad." His words were quiet, barely more than thoughts spoken outloud, rather than to the other. He stared down at his open palm, eyes seemingly unfocused. 

"Okay. I'll accept that. But..." He flexed his hand, opening and closing it as his brows furrowed. 

"Does that... also make me bad?" Jade eyes shifted from his hand to the other, the mixture of his furrowed brows and mouth drawn into a tight line leaving a look akin to sadness on his face.

"Am I bad then?" He repeated, almost desperately. 

"Darkness is-- It's all I've known for a long time." He admitted, his voice shaking. 

"I don't think I'm a bad person-- but all I can see is Darkness.
