I have no idea if this is lowkey angst or something, but it’s them.

It was a dark night, perfect for what Mozza was about to do. It’s something he sort of had to pick up again since he was sort of losing that strength he had before. As a result, he picked up his hitman job again, the same job he had back when before he even became a Watakuma. He needed to keep up his skills to be able to use his strength to its max capacity.

He picked up his rifle within his closet, making sure the safety was on. He has to be careful when carrying this after all. He grabbed his coat and put it on. Grabbing his bag filled with the supplies he needs. Mozza entered the hallway in front of his apartment. He had begun walking, but he heard something.

    “Mozza? Back at it again…?”

It was Mochi, up at an ungodly hour. Mozza shouldn’t be surprised, the boy is a streamer after all. Mozza was shocked though that he heard him leave.

“Yeah. I kind of have to.”

Mochi just looked at him, sort of confused. He had gone up to Mozza, and pat his back. This spooked the bunny causing him to look at his… friend. The one he trusted, with all these secrets. Mozza was sweating a little, in fear that Mochi would do something bad. Rather, it was the opposite.

He hugged Mozza, it was… comfortable, and soft. A little more intimate compared to how they are usually. Mozza relaxed, feeling comfort with Mochi’s hug.

“I’ll be fine, don’t worry about me.”

Mozza knew this was Mochi’s way to express concern. He then just felt himself being let go, which was just Mochi releasing him from the hug. Mozza turned to face him, with the usual stoic expression he shows. Mochi’s expression definitely was one of concern.

“Just, please stay safe. I know you need to do this.”

That was something Mozza felt pained to hear. He could never guarantee his own safety, let alone to the one he has a blatant crush is. Nevertheless, the two have been close for years, having been on this journey together. It definitely wouldn’t end well if one just disappeared.

“I’ll try, just for you. Get some sleep though.”

Mochi just nodded, and went back to his apartment, having closed the door after waving goodbye to Mozza. This was a hard job and a dangerous one. It’s something he has to do. That doesn’t mean anything if it means to protect those he loves.

Maybe the concern of his beloved was what he needed to have the courage to keep going. To keep going through this difficult night. Mozza made his way down the hall and was off on his job. To deal with those who he has been requested to get rid of, whether large or small. This was a price to pay to keep people safe.
