Was told to write stuff down, Hartwin thinks it helps me focus. Don’t know, just know that I wanna remember good things when adventure is over. Cannot serve Khaine forever, one day will have to stop fighting. Be a war hero like those old humans back at home, the ones who always glared at the temple.

I guess the first thing I should write is the worst food? The thing that I ate a lot back in House Randrag, Salted Meat Cubes.

They are as they sound, 2 by 2 by 2 cut of meat from any animal Chicken, Pig, Human, Dawi, Cow or anything you wish, it’ll taste the same. 

Cut enough cubes to feed 10 people, put them in a small pan, add water to pan so that the meat does not stick to it. As the juices of the meat start to leave the cube begin adding salt, rotate the cube to cook the next side. Repeat until all 6 sides are cooked and salted thoroughly. 

Take pan off of fire and cut into the largest cube, making sure it is cooked all the way through (Humans refer to this as “well done”). Take the juices that escaped the cubes and pooled in the water, pour an equal amount on each cube to add to nutritional value.

Once all the meat is separated onto different plates and brought to their consumers, begin next batch

The taste is mundane and horrible. There is too much salt and by the time the cube reaches you the cube is dry on the upper half and the rest is so soggy that it’s more of a soup inside the meat. I’ve had it so many times over a hundred years that I would much sooner eat my foot raw
