Heaven was in shambles.

Hours ago, Arcaia crumbled, the earth of the continent split, broken like a shattered plate. The tower- the tower that went on to name the planet, constructed in means of allowing angels to safely land, and for mortals to find a place of worship and to give thanks- was gone. It was all gone, sunken homes, lost pillars, so many mortal lives- gone. Lady Eden was unhappy, less than pleasant as well. It was too late for divine intervention, it was an irreversible thing, something she never foresaw. Gabriel had, however.

He knew.

Always by Eden's side, just in case he had a premonition, just at the Lord's fingertips. He saw what would happen, but he never spoke a word of it. As a result of his punishment- for a lacking of reading such a tragedy- of giving no insight- Gabriel went missing for 12 days and 12 nights. When he returned, he was a shell of himself. Like bleached coral, color was drained from him- warm hazel hair turned white, living in a delusional husk of himself, frayed wings, and ankles chained to the coliseum floor for until Eden declared that he was "grounded" for long enough.

In those 12 days, he slept not a wink, even these days now it stays a constant. Nobody knows what happened to him, but something keeps him up, after all- the remains of those white streaks of hair still linger.

He seems haunted.
