The old mountain stallion looked around the place he wandered, sand dunes and a muck as he looked for this elusive desert mare he heard others calling a goddess. He was curious to meet her as he wandered through the desolate lands. Shaking the sand from his dusty sandy coat already the stallion exhaled in frustration. He had heard this mare was elusive but not like this. He stops under the shadows of some ancient desert ruins. Looking towards the burning sun then back to the sand he exhales in thirst.

A sudden call from high above caught his attention, a phoenix if bright reds and oranges flew above he blinked before squinting up at the fiery bird. He called out to it wondering if it would lead him somewhere, "Hey! Bird! A little help! Some water please!" The beat of the bird's wings sounded again as it cawed out. The bird suddenly flew deeper into the ruins of the ancient temple that stood here once, "Wait!" Regale called out as he suddenly gave chase to the bird that flew above. His hooves sounded out against the stone as he chased this damned bird hoping it would lead him somewhere.

When he finds the bird again it's perched atop something in the middle of what smells of water in the old ruins. Blinking the stallion moved forward as he kept his eyes on the bird. In which now he could tell from her delicate frame the phoenix he chased was a female. As he approached he started to notice what or more so who she was perched on. A beautiful desert mare, with a unique coat he had only seen on a few, a brindle chimera mare. Her beautiful amber Champagne mixed with what looked like bronzing appaloosa, her dark carey mark giving the illusion of patched Chrima as well as the brindle. He was astonished to see this elusive mare.

The bird ruffled her feathers as she started to preen them atop the mares back. It was till his second take Regale noticed her long shoulder manes and tail. Which both seemed to be soaking from something. As his eyes traveled down he saw the water knee high on the mare. He steps forward and dips his head to drink to sooth his dry mouth. Finally lifting her head her blue and pink eyes land on the stallion. Her laugh feather light as the stallion gulped down the water, "Long way from home are we not?" She asked tilting her head at the old stallion. Her question made his head raise, "Yes." He said to her as he raised his head to look at her.

The mares' pink and blue eyes watched the stallion, "So riddle me this old stallion, why are you out here?" She inquired as the beautiful sunset phoenix was still preening her feathers. His blue eyes met hers as he looked away, "I heard the story of an elusive chimera mare who had peaked a lot of people's attention and wanted to meet her myself." He says he grins gently, "I wanna offer you a task to take on my quests." He says with a gentle smile.

Aphrodite laughed suddenly as she turned to walk away, "And what makes you think I wanna leave my home to do your quest's? What would this bring me? Other than the risk of capture or worse?" Aphrodite was a prideful mare who held standard's to most, "I'm sorry old stallion but your proposal doesn't interest me." This appalled the stallion as he huffed moving forward into the water with her, "Have you heard what my quest could bring you?" The mare turned looking over her shoulder at him, "What could your quest bring me?" She asked as she looked at her. Her phoenix ruffled her feather as she leaned down to pull at Aphrodite's shoulder manes. Aphrodite whipped her head at the bird, "Aris!" She snapped at the bird who puffed at her as well spreading her wings cawing.

Aphrodite frowned at the bird, "You can't really want me to deal with this do you?" The bird coos at Aphrodite this time. Aphrodite groans at this, "I don't see what exactly the point is? To claim some prize?" The bird puffed again like a sign of pride. Aphrodite exhaled as she shook her head before she turned to the old stallion, "What will the quests do?" She asked. The stallion was appalled at what he saw between the mare and bird, "You can talk to her?" He asked curiously. Aphrodite nodded her head, "Yes we developed a way to talk to each other." She says as she watches him, "Have you not?" She asked curiously. The stallion shakes his head no, "No most don't interact like you two just did." He says, "That was weirdly unique and different." He says.

Aphrodite hums at this, "Well are you gonna tell me about your quest?" She questioned the stallion nods, his head as he looked at her, "Yes about them, you gain prizes for the 4 part questing." He says, "Each one will help me learn about you as you also learn about yourself." He says with a smile the mare hums at this, "Really now? So it's not just one single quest? It's multiple." She tilted her head. The stallion nods again, "Yes, its multiple quest's separated into 4 parts." He stated. The mare made a slight face at this, "I thought this would be easy but you make this seem complex." She suddenly becomes less interested.

The stallion made a face at her, "Do you just hold. No interest in doing my quest?" He tilted his head slightly. She exhaled, "I mean how well does this usually go for others?" She asked him hums, "Usually very well." He states gently as he watches the mare. She backed away a bit as she pondered how well this would be for her. Making a decision she turned to the stallion, "I guess we walk and talk a bit more since I accept your quests." She stated as she walked over to him as they both headed out for the start of the ruins.

As they walked Regale went on, "So the first quest, what was your home like? Did you grow up with a loving family or alone?" He was rattling off these questions. Aphrodite looked at him and listened as they walked, the phoenix who had been perched in her back had taken flight, being the eyes in the air. As they walked the sun started to set as the old stallion talked on and on about the quest and how each horse who handled them well was happy and proud of the gifts they got. Aphrodite seemed to tune the old stallion out as they walked on. Once the once over was finished the phoenix landed on the mare's back again. Preening her feathers again the bird listened to the stallion ramble as well as Aphrodite occasionally chirping in to redirect the stallions story. They walk soon bringing them to the edge of the desert as the pair cross into grasslands while the stallion still rambles on about different horses and his quest.
