Chapter 1.1 | Octavia

Heavy footfalls thundered across the expanse of the valley, a bowl set at the floor of the mountains with wide open spaces and rolling hills. A pristine sanctuary for those who called the lush location home, and for her an opportunity - to ruin it all.

The brooding woman sauntered along the lakes edge, her chartreuse eyes were bright, contrasted against her dark face only edged with touches of light from the lighter tones of purple that laced her portrait. Atop her head an impressive set of large ribbed horns, backed by the plates that ran down the center of her head all the way to her nose.

The woman was impressively large, masculine in her build, and bathed in a dark palette of plum and obsidian. She sported no tail, and had a row of spikes that line her spine just over her hips. Her eyes flickered, onto a small gathering of deer making their way to the waters edge, territorial for no real reason at all Octavia huffed.

Enough to catch their attention only briefly, before they lowered their heads to drink. Her lips curled, pushing off to launch herself with powerful hind limbs she charged them without bothering to so much as drop her head. She knew they'd scatter before she reached them, but as she drew closer, even as they bound away she threw her head scooping at the air where they once stood.

The woman stood briefly, tearing up the grass as she kicked out her back legs. And laying down beside the water, turning her head to watch them begrudgingly with a silent but clear intention; mine.
