“Hmmmm…”

Mahali hummed as she drummed her paws on the wooden table she was hunched over. Looking down at the rough schematics and ideas she scribbled on a piece of parchment for Everest’s recruitment center, her brow furrowed and she frowned.

Everything she came up with was what she would like, not what Everest would like.

Throwing her head back over the chair, the Riolu groaned in frustration. Coming up with stuff she liked came naturally, but thinking of ideas for others, especially ones she wasn’t too well acquainted with was challenging. She needed to go straight to the source in order to know what the other pokemon liked.  Turning her head to the side, she spotted the growlithe/jigglypuff fusion.  Looking back down at the plans they made, Mahali took them in her paws and hopped out of her seat.

“Everest?” They asked as they closed the distance between them.  “How’s the recruitment center renovation coming along?”  Unsure of what else to say to her, Mahali stood tall and looked at Everest with confidence.

“Eh, it’s coming along for sure, but I feel like it’s missing something.” She replied.

Pulling the parchment from behind her back, Mahali tapped her foot and bent over slightly to show Everest the plans they made.  “I know you might not like all of these, but I’ve been jotting down ideas for your project, here, take a look. Maybe you’ll find something.”

Everest leaned in to look at the paper and cocked her head to the side.  After a few moments of looking it over, she pointed a claw at the sign Mahali designed.  “I love the sign, it’s eye catching so it’d be hard to miss for any newcomers, let's go with that!"

Relieved to have come up with something useful, Mahali smiled and nodded. “Just lead the way I can make it for you!” Mahali said as she held out a paw.  Placing her paw in Mahali’s, the two shook on it and started towards the stacks of materials to begin crafting a sign for the new and improved recruitment center.
