The green Absol was curled up in the apprentice's den, chest rising and falling with each breath as he snoozed away. It had taken him a while to fall asleep last night, as he knew today would be his warrior ceremony and he was frankly too excited. He hadn't fallen asleep until the late hours of the night. It seemed his excitement made it hard to stay asleep, as he woke up with a loud yawn and glanced excitedly around the den. Most of the other apprentices were still asleep.

Thankfully he wasn't the only one awake by now. His best friend, a Litten named Wishpaw laid in their nest that was nearby Applepaw's own, tail curled around t heir side as they casually cleaned one of  their paws. The sunlight filtered in through the entrance of the den, sparkling softly against the feline pokemon's blue colored fur. Finally taking notice that Applepaw was awake they gave a friendly smile and ceased their cleaning to wave a paw in greeting. "Morning Applepaw." A chuckle followed their words. "Couldn't stay asleep I see, huh?"

Applepaw let out a flustered huff of embarrassment before shaking out his fur and covering his chest fluff in a few licks, trying to smooth down the fur that poked out all over the place from him tossing and turning in his nest during the night. He was a tad bit of a restless sleeper sometimes, especially now when he was already very excited for his ceremony today. "Can you blame me? Today's going to be a big day after all."

Another laugh answered him before his friend spoke again, a cheerful smile across their features. "No, not at all. I'd probably be just as excited for my naming ceremony. I'm still gonna poke fun at you though." They turned to Applepaw, their face thoughtful. "I wonder what your name will be." Then pulling themselves upwards so that they were sitting now, before fully getting to their paws they turned to Applepaw. "It's still early, it'll be a while before the clan wakes up enough for your ceremony. Do you want to come hunting with me? I could use the chance to stretch my legs a bit and I'm sure you could use up some of that excitement energy, you know, so you're not loosing your mind while you sit in front of the entire clan?"

Applepaw rolled his eyes but nodded as he got to his paws as well, giving his own friendly smile in return. He really didn't want to be nervous in front of the clan during his naming ceremony, maybe hunting would help relax him a bit. He always felt right at home when hunting, even if he didn't get anything to bring home for the clan. "That sounds like fun, yeah! Let's go hunt for a bit."

The pair of them exited the apprentice's den, eyes blinking against the morning light after being in a dark den for the past several hours. They slipped out of the camps entrance, heading off to find some food for the clan.
