Chapter 1

Trish lifted up her brown  glasses, adjusting them back onto her nose, she then blew some of her  hair away from her forehead. Her little sister had broken her watch and  instead of throwing it out like most people would do, Trish thought that  she'd have a try at repairing the thing. Sitting in front of a  magnifying glass for hours, carefully taking the watch apart to find the  faulty component had taken a toll on her so she decided to lean back  for a while. Suddenly, she was interupted by the sound of someone  knocking on her door. "Come in!" she answered. Naty opened the door and  walked inside, holding a glass of apple juice.

"How's it going?"  The younger sister asked, still feeling a bit guilty about breaking her  watch. The pieces of the watch were all scattered across the table, it  would almost be a miracle if Trish could put the watch back together  without any missing pieces. "Well- I think this wrecked cogwheel is why  the watch won't turn it's pointers. It gets caught on itself." She took  the glass of apple juice and drank it quickly, so quickly that she  chokes on it and starts to cough.

"Hey! Be careful." The younger  sister said, slightly worried. She glanced at the mess at the table  again. "Are you.. sure you shouldn't be keeping the parts in a box or  something? What if you put it together and notice that something's  missing?" Trish scoffed a little. "I know exactly where everything is!  What you see is a mess is my way of organising." She said proudly.

"Okay-  Whatever you say sis. I'm gonna leave you to it now." Naty said and  walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Later that evening  when Trish was almost done repairing the watch, she noticed that she  couldn't find the small pointer anywhere. Maybe she should have taken  her little sister's advice, she thought to herself.
