-The Boy of the Woods-
The boy of the woods,
with clothing so tattered.
He lived in the forest,
his hair was quite matted.
The young little boy,
was fond of the trees.
Normally climbing,
the tallest of these.
A traveller came,
they stayed for awhile.
Intriguing he found them,
he saw they weren’t wild.
They taught him to read,
and gave him a name.
Zeke he was called now,
a smile on his face.
They then cut his hair,
short as can be.
The traveller waved,
as they walked through the trees.
The boy of the woods,
wild here and free.
His clothing still tattered,
with dirt on his knees.
