Chapter 1

there's gonna be four subspecies of fluffskeins: sunskeins, cloudskeins, and nightskeins (to make it easier on myself, I'm just gonna refer to each one as sun, cloud, and night).

the fur surrounding a sun's neck and tail can glow gently and emit a very gentle warmth. it's short and thin. suns are usually pretty bright pastel-ish colors, and are bigger than other subspecies (about the size of a small wolf). they live in sunny places like open meadows, prairies, deserts, etc. all suns are fireproof, but just barely. they can survive a small burn, but still need to heed caution to large fires. a rare ability of certain suns is the ability to catch fire briefly (not harming the sun itself). these suns are completely fireproof.

The fur on a cloud is vapor-like and very soft; their fur is also slightly translucent. Clouds are usually dull gray-ish colors, and are about the size of a bobcat. They tend to live in cooler places, like mountain tops, around lakes, and in areas that snow or rain often. They tend to be quite elusive, and it can be very hard to see one of these in the wild. A very very rare ability of certain clouds is the ability to partially disintegrate into a cloud/vapor like form that can be extremely hard to see. They can travel much faster in this form, however, they can only hold their concentration for half an hour to an hour, and they have to change back before their concentration spreads too thin, causing them to fully disintegrate and essentially die.

the fur on a night is usually longer and more dense. they are, of course, nocturnal, and their fur patterns must always include stars or moons. they live in caves and, although none of the skeins are amazing at swimming, they can swim the best out of all of them. to be continued (if i remember)
