Kerelas

Witch.

His scowl grew as his arms found their place loosely crossed against his check, brow raising as he peered down his nose at the witchfinder. His accusations only made him scoff, in both disbelief and humor. His lip twitched into a small smirk, his finger moving to push his glasses back up the bridge of his nose.

Was he out on orders- gods, he instantly regretted not willing these men to sleep and leaving them in the brush when he had a chance. Technically, he still did, and he felt his fingers curl into loose fists at the thought… but he did have some morals… and erasing his own presence from the lads' memories would be more work than it was worth.

So he was grateful for the rumbling ground and the presence of the monster (Fate rest it's soul), cutting him off from whatever snark had started to form.

He certainly hadn't expected the soldier display- watching with a quirked brow as the pair moved fluidly down the road, aiming their weapons with all the bravo they could muster. Kerelas followed suit, his walk casual behind them as he fumbled for his pockets. And he remained silent until he was addressed again, his magic questioned, and then his character. He sighed, slowing as his gaze moved back to the mulling beast.

"Not one that could help, unfortunately," He replied, frowning in thought. At least, not that he was aware of… monsters didn't sleep, as far as he knew. He watched as goop dripped from the beast's jaws, and he knew the witchfinder was right. They could at least buy some time.

"Alright," He finally said with a wave of his hand as he started in the monster's direction. "But stick close to me, please."
