Geode Quests

Cloud could see the butter colored edge of her world splitting in two. She had been chirping for what she thought had been a while, but in reality it had only been for a little bit. But to be fair, her life so far had been so short and all she knew was the inside of the yellow shell around herself. She didn’t even know what caused her to start chirping, but she knew in her heart that it was what she needed to do at that moment.

That’s when the crack happened.

She watched it split her entire world in two, blinking her eyes as she watched it curiously. She didn’t even concern herself with any bad possibility, or any thought on what it could mean for her, for that matter. She chirped a few times at the crack.

Suddenly, the comforting solid border of her world literally fell apart and she tumbled out, feeling herself tumble out onto some cold unfamiliar ground. She looked around with big eyes at this new world around her. She was in a large room with a glittering alter that caught her attention, not able to take her eyes off it.

“Hello, little one,” a kind looking Vespire said to her in a sweet voice.

Cloud looked up at her and made a few little chirping noises, unable to really speak at all, but her floppy ears perked up and she felt a smile cross her face.

“Welcome to the world! I’ll make sure you’re kept safe until your family arrives, okay?”
