Rainbow wyrmling & me

A warm summer breeze ran through the menagerie. Some pets were splashing about in the little pool provided to them, and others were simply laying around and enjoying the sunlight. The occasional splashing sparkled in the light and reflected teeny tiny rainbows onto the ground. Some of the little rainbows looked an awful lot like tiny dragons. 

One of the pets was particularly interested in the small rainbows and was actually chasing after them whenever they appeared. A prism gremlin, clad in red robes with yellow horn covers. She chased rainbow after rainbow until eventually she tripped over... Someone? As she fell to the ground she was met with a fluffy cream-colored mane that didn't quite look like anyone she knew. As well as a pair of big, blue eyes staring at her. The creature looked skittish, but also seemed worried about the unfamiliar face that tripped over them. 

The gremlin took a few moments to get back on her feet, but seemed okay otherwise. She seven seemed to like this new face and invited the creature to return to the menagerie with her. The poor thing must've been sweltering in the heat, she felt. 

Back home all of the pets  gathered around the newcomer when they arrived, looking at them with anticipation. It was a little overwhelming for the wyrmling, but they were very quickly met with a refreshing treat. A nice, frozen piece of fruit! The wyrmling seemed very grateful for the treat and happily munched on it. 

Even if the unfamiliar creature didn't want to stay, everyone seemed to enjoy their company, as well as the opportunity to share some refreshments on a warm day.
