Nym

Her eyes glanced over the man, not believing his excuses for a second. "If you are this flustered around a woman, dear sir, perhaps you need more practice in being in public." She paired her words with a playful smirk, her eyes showing that she knew that he was full of it. "And yes, most do try to hide. I have reasons for not hiding my horns, which I would not share with a mere acquaintance. Work with me more in the future, and prove yourself trustworthy of my secrets, and perhaps I will share them." She doubted that he'd ever know- she made it a habit to not trust non-mages. She did not trust anyone, really. It was not worth potentially dying because she trusted the wrong person.

A scuffle caught her attention, and she nodded at Sebastien's words. This was their chance, as she had nothing to offer and he apparently didn't, either. Ducking low, scooping up her skirts, she ran for the door, keeping as low as she could. Her braid snapped out behind her as she whirled inside the tower's entrance, footsteps soft as she moved out of the line of sight of the guards, the Witchfinders, the Order members. She continued moving, stopping at every intersection of the hallways, listening for anyone moving inside.

When she had continued far enough into the building to hide their words and actions from the outside, she stopped, relaxing the slightest bit and turning to her new acquaintance. "Well, then," she murmured, "we are in. Is there anything in particular that you are looking for in this tower? Secrets? Artifacts? Perhaps some bits of magic that you can't use?"

She knew that she was being a bit of a haughty bitch, but she couldn't help it. She was terrified- so terrified that Witchfinders would come up behind them, would catch them, would force their shackles on her wrists and make her lose herself to the nothingness that followed life. She wanted to see what was happening, yes- but was this expedition really worth the risks?
