Mysterious Past

Not too much is actually known about Guy and his past. He’s a shady character with a shady past. But, he does have a past, and a very good reason to hide it from others. He was born in T@Ö#Ä3 into a family we don’t know much about. They were probably just as shady as he became later. He would have worked with his parents, involved with whatever weird shit they were involved with. This probably involved things such as drugs and theft, things that he is still doing now.

"The Incident"

Guy’s life went on for a while, until the incident happened. What was that incident you ask? Well, we don’t know for sure, but clearly it was something bad. This wasn’t your everyday drug trade and theft, it’s very possible it involved someone’s death and That Guy was heavily responsible for it. Only something like that would cause Guy to run away to Wasteland of T@Ö#Ä3, and even changed his name. What we do know is that his name is Guy now, but it wasn’t always so. He only changed it to Guy to be as inconspicuous as possible, he’s not a Mike or a Dave, he’s just some… Guy. What his name, or the rest of his identity was before is only known to Guy himself. And Isabella. Isabella is Guy’s BFF who already came with him to Wasteland, and not very much is known about her either - but more on that another time.

Wasteland Life

Guy’s arrival to Wasteland is where the known timeline of Guy’s life begins. We still can’t be sure how old exactly he was at this time, or for how long he had known Isabella. What we do know is that they arrived together, as BFFs.

Here he spent a few years just hiding out and running a shop open to visitors. Here he sold just about anything he could get his hands on - from oddly shaped rocks, to upcycled furniture. Here, he was already very good at his job, which was not only selling things, but also scamming visitors out of as much of their hard earned money as possible. He was a great asset to the Wasteland Capital and everyone was happy about all the money he brought in, but as for many others, living here was only a temporary solution to Guy.

Life in Wasteland is tough, and Guy wanted something better for himself and Isabella. After a few years, when the incident that led him and Isabella here was forgotten, Guy knew it was time to move on. But going back to T@Ö#Ä3 didn’t seem too appealing. He was done with T@Ö#Ä3 and decided to got to Ä+*4~.

Move to Ä+*4~

It was a few years ago now when Guy and Isabella arrived to Ä+*4~. They set up a shop where they started selling a variety of items a lot of which were imported right from Wasteland. Guy continued with his scammy practices he learnt in Wasteland, but keeping a legitimate store open ended up being more work than he thought. He tried really hard, but his Wasteland ways weren’t welcome here and keeping a stock of useful items was tough. Soon he had to shut down his store and move to another town to start over. This time things seemed to have been a bit better. Aside from people from T@Ö#Ä3, he contacted more snack suppliers from Ä+*4~, and managed to keep his store better stocked this time. Still, he kept up with his scammy practices and selling strange items and drugs imported from T@Ö#Ä3 and Wasteland. Some of these weren’t as welcomed here, so he decided to relocate one more time, just to be safe.

Finally, he and Isabella saved up enough money to come to Central Area of Ä+*4~. Here they opened their current Inconvenience Store. The store itself follows all of the previous practices, though Guy tries to keep it better than before and good enough to fit in with the higher standard Central Area is used to. Of course, you’ll still get scammed, but people here are used to an expensive lifestyle, so it’s easier to scam more money out of them. Strange items from T@Ö#Ä3 and Wasteland are still a staple, and people here seem to me very open to trying out different snack items from T@Ö#Ä3 that can’t be found here. Of course, there is enough people who are also interested in sketchy poker nights and buying drugs. Central area is full of people from all over the world, and you’ll find more diversity here than anywhere else. Because of this even Guy with his shady shop and Wasteland traditions fits right in.

But what's up with Isabella?

If you visited any of Guy’s shops after he and Isabella came to Ä+*4~, you’ll notice he will always greet you with his catchphrase: “What can I offer? A beverage, magazine, a prostitute?”. And it’s true, even if you want a beverage or a magazine there’s a good chance you won’t get it, but you will 100% never get the prostitute. Guy doesn’t have any morals othewise, but you’ll soon notice that he’s extremely protective over Isabella. Of course, why wouldn’t he be, he is his BFF after all, and the only family he seems to have. But he is keeping a secret, possibly Isabella doesn’t know. The truth is that he’d rather be more than BFFs with her, but that never happened and it never will. Probably.
