Dubbed 'The Plague', a series of catastrophic events prompted the Clans to leave the archipelago.

[ Rat Attack ]

Hordes of rats attacked the island, destroying everything in their path. Prey was driven into hiding for a prolonged period of time. Kittypets were locked into their homes by their Twolegs and all other cats were driven to the Gathering Place, where they stayed the night. It is currently unknown how many cats died due to this plague.

[ Pollution ]

Twolegs began dumping toxic waste into all of the water supplies, causing an artificial drought of water. A toxic filmed covered the polluted water. Falling into the water was extremely dangerous and would require the cat to go to Twolegplace to get the oil removed from their fur. The pollution killed the entire fish population and made prey scarce. The pollution lasted a moon until it was cleaned up. It is currently unknown how many cats died due to this plague.

[ Blizzard ]

During the third plague a record-breaking blizzard occurred. The blizzard was unexpected as the season was spring when it occurred. This plague was particularly dangerous to young kits. Prey was notably scarce due to the lack of food. It is currently unknown how many cats died due to this plague.

[ Acid Rain ]

During the fourth and final plague an acid rainstorm occurred. While the rain wasn't inherently dangerous, only causing a slight sting, mass hysteria and panic quickly flooded the clans. Cats who were not in camp during the plague had to make improvised shelter locations, some notable improvised shelters include an old loner den, a shrub in ThunderClan territory, and the roots under the Willowpool. The storm escalated into a derecho, causing mass destruction. It is currently unknown how many cats died due to this plague.
