Kithood

Petalkit  was born after the creation of the clans along with her brother,  Batkit, to their parents  Frostfoot and Weaselheart. Growing up, she  would always go on adventures with her brother, showing off her knack  for getting hurt often. It didn’t matter if she was walking over to her  mother or going out when she wasn’t supposed to, this kit was born to be  clumsy. Despite all odds, she and Batkit both have quite good vision  compared to their mother.

She used to get into silly  fights with her brother, often complaining about how dangerous a  situation was, or making fun of his big ears. Petalkit doesn’t remember  much from these times anymore, as she always focuses on the present, but  she’s sure her brother will remember.

Apprenticeship

The  day that Petalpaw was assigned her new name and mentor, she was  thrilled to get out there! New name, new adventures to go on with  Batpaw. Batpaw!!! So exciting. She was a little disappointed in her  mentor choice, as she always looked up to Falconwatcher and Ratbite so  much. Eventually though, Petalpaw grew to enjoy her mentor quite a bit.  Despite her scraggly appearance, she wasn’t half bad!

Throughout  these days, Petalpaw could be seen training really hard - she had to  beat her brother! Well. It’s a bit hard to beat a medicine apprentice  when you’re not one, so she opted for becoming the best warrior cat ever  known! Petalpaw didn’t really get the hang of anything right away. Due  to her… balance issues, she had a hard time hunting and sneaking up on  prey until she trained even harder.

Sometimes she would  give up on training to bother Batpaw, but he was often too busy  learning about healing. It was frustrating, but eventually she gained a  sense of admiration for her brother’s determination, and strived to  become like him. Can’t let him beat her after all! The two would still  go on adventures sometimes, but not quite as often or as exciting as  they used to.

Warriorhood

This  was it! Petalwish finally got her name after so many years of training!  At first, she wanted to brag to her brother about how much earlier she  got her name, but then realized she was being far too rude after seeing  his smile. He looked so proud, but a bit disappointed. She decided then  that she would support her brother better than ever until he got his  name, and often told him about how cool it will be for him to have his  name. She often bugged him on what he thought his name would be, and  came up with some serious options, but also some… not-so-serious ones.

When  Batwing got his name, Petalwish was so excited she could barely keep  her voice down! The two would talk for hours about their different  experiences in their newfound (for Bat at least)  roles. The two were  closer than ever before, and every chance to see her brother, Petalwish  took it.

When Cavern got sick, Petalwish was there to  support her brother. It was a hard time for Batwing and Mothmask;  probably harder than it was for the rest of the clan. Their leader  passed after only about a moon. Petalwish made sure that her brother was  healthy after her passing: bringing him food and making sure he sleeps.  She welcomed Grackleshade’s leadership with open paws, hoping the  guidance would help her clan heal.

Petalwish  was chosen for an assignment, how exciting! She didn’t know that  Grackleshade trusted her this much, though truthfully she knew it was  because her eyesight was better than most in the clan. Cereusface was  also chosen. Finally, a reason to talk to this guy! The two were chosen  to spy on Cliffclan, going out at night, staying for a full day. The two  didn’t sleep, whispering amongst themselves to make sure they were on  the same page.

Apparently, they thought  Cactusbloom, some Cliffclan cat, was murdered by Grackleshade! She would  never. Then, Newtchirp did something terrifying.

He declared war on the Caves.

They  sprinted back to camp as fast as they could, the grass they laid in  shaking behind them and alerting the Cliffclan cats of their presence.  The terrifying cats were right on their heels as they ran, fast as can  be, back home. Sleep deprived and terrified, Petalwish and Cereusface  yelled for Grackleshade, but it was too late. Newtchirp was here.

She  had gotten separated from the main group following Grackleshade after  their leader called to retreat, staying mostly with Windfall. She became  very motherly seeing her friend so scared.

During  Grackleshade’s announcement of Starlingpaw’s new name, Petalwish  silently supported her brother and Juncojaw’s side of the argument. Her  brother’s life is more important to her than anyone, and if Juncojaw was  going to be Batwing’s not-quite-mate, then Petalwish would treat him  with the same love and respect. Juncojaw was officially a cat that  Petalwish would consider her family. She owed him that much.

On  the same day that Beetlepaw became Beetleburr, Petalwish was granted  her first apprentice! She was a bit surprised at how different  Screechpaw was from her, but excited nonetheless.
Time to show off her moves!
