Jazz was staring out into the waves. He’d come out here to the Sunbeam Beach as a new place to try his wings at fishing. And while he’d learned a lot about fishing, and it had gotten him away from the garden to go explore some, this really wasn’t the activity he enjoyed doing. Every time he came out, he wanted to go home. Home back to his garden and flowers and his leobees. Yeah, fishing wasn’t really his thing.

Gathering up his fishing pole and what he’d managed to catch this morning, the plump little bee was startled to see a female standing fairly close to him. She’d snuck up on him, even if it looked like he’d also startled her by turning around. Maybe she had just been opening her voice to call out to him?
Cowering behind his wishing rod, Jazz listened to her request for some gossmer to finish a quilt for her grandfather. If he had any to spare. He nodded. He had a lot of the spider silk back home he could give her. The threads got caught in his wings as he flew around exploring the familiar realm looking for lost seeds. Summoning all of his courage, Jazz offered a small smile and slowly lowered the “shield” of his wishing rod. If she wanted to come back tomorrow, he’d bring the gossmer for her.
