Fialova met Myeltac and Alchere when she was maybe 8. The other dragonborn was 11, and the human 7.

She’d always looked up to Myeltac, since the two shared a similar race, as somewhat of an icon. Fia didn’t start hanging out with them immediately, but they’d talk to her when the kids all got together. Normally, she’d be with Kyrrix ow with Yonmare, Kon, and Hormus, but something about Myeltac’s praise made her feel really good inside.

It was something she’d always wanted to hear from another gem dragonborn.

She wanted more.

Over the years, Fia spent more time with the two troubled kids, leaving her brother’s side more eagerly. She never really told him what she’d be up to, claiming it wasn’t any of his business, or that he was too boring and she wanted to go outside. They’d spend hours talking about Myeltac’s mischievous deeds like they were the coolest things in the world. The topaz dragonborn boasted about stealing trinkets from even the scariest members of their town.

Two years, Fialova had known Myeltac, but the other girl had never asked if she wanted to join on a “big heist.” Until today.

They were going to steal crystals from the dragon. The crystals that grant power to the holder.

Maybe because it was so wrong, Fialova felt alive. She was excited to be a part of something so incredible. How strong would they all be after gathering their gems? Fia imagined picking up Kyrrix like he weighed nothing and parading him around like that. He wouldn’t be able to escape, and that made her giggle.

That morning, they went out as a group, climbing into the dragon’s lair.

They thought it was asleep, but it wasn’t.

The large creature rose it’s long head at the sight of children attempting to steal the gems, and spat out shards at them. They missed vital parts on purpose, giving the children a warning and a threat.

Fialova was too shocked to leave immediately, as her so-called friends ran off without her. She stared at the dragon, clutching her side. There was no blood, but it hurt. It hurt so bad.

She pulled up her shirt. There was a deep gash, but it looked more like a break in a crystal.

Fia wanted her brother.

When the girl finally came to her senses, she looked for Kyrrix in his favorite spot.

(this is taken directly from our rp)

Fia-

You walk in your family's favorite field of crystalline flowers and see a large purple crystal jutting out of the ground. You've never seen one there before. While looking around you see Kyrrix kneeling and hugging the crystal, crying and apologizing over and over

what do you do, Fia?

Fialova

Fia stares for a moment, confused and scared, before taking slow steps towards her brother. She doesn't ask what happened, putting a hand on his shoulder, but not speaking.

Once you are 10 ft away you begin to see an outline, and next to Kyrrix you see your mom, encased in purple crystal, her features smiling with tears in her eyes towards you all, frozen in time.

Kyrrix:

He says... "I... I... I t..." looks over to his sister "I... I... I'm.... I'm so sorry." turns towards her and hugs her around her waist, still bawling

Fialova

Once Fia finally realizes the figure is her mother, she freezes, staring directly into her mother's eyes. She doesn't look at or react to Kyrrix more than a flinch when he hugs her.

Kyrrix:

At some point, he would stop saying it because he's crying so hard, and she'd start to hear "I'm so sorry."  in a mournful tone, over and over in her head.

After what would've felt to them (at least to him) like an eternity, probably, Kyrrix is going to pull his face away from his sister's side and look up towards her face.

Fialova:

It takes a few moments of him staring for Fia to finally look away from her mom and down at Kyrrix. She looks haunted.  "Why?" Her voice sounds shaky, like she's holding back tears.

As she speaks, Fia looks back at the crystal. Into her mother's eyes again. Haunted.

"This isn't your fault." She tries to sound definitive, like he can't argue with her, but a bit of uncertainty creeps into her voice. She doesn't look at him as she speaks.

Kyrrix:

Seeing her like that would bring him back to full cry. Fia will feel the head with much smaller horns return against her side, and feeling his head rubbing side to side as he shakes his head no, silently.

He would sparingly say quietly between sobs, his voice only working falteringly, "I didn't..." and "I shouldn't h..." before returning to just tears.

Fialova

Fia suddenly looks angry as he cries again, and leans down to grip his shoulders. "It's not your fault. This isn't your fault," she growls aloud, looking him in the eyes. She looks like she wants to say something more, but begins to cry instead. She holds her brother close and cries, repeating in his head that he didn't do this.

Kyrrix:

He'd look up at her with a bit of fear mixed into the pools of tears that are his eyes, as she was gripping his shoulders. But, upon her stopping, and starting to cry, too, he'd let go, bend down, push himself up to his feet, and give her another big hug.

Kyrrix:

After another seeming eternity, I’m sure, he’d pull his head back and try and look her in the eyes and say, “We… we need to find Mom…” sniffle

He’d then look back towards the crystal and set his forehead against it. And, as a tear rolls down his gem-colored scales and onto the crystal itself, as he tries one more time to put the mental words “I’m sorry, Momma.” into his mother’s head.

Fialova

Still struggling to stop crying, Fia nods at Kyrrix and waits for him to hold the crystal. When he finishes his goodbyes, she grabs his hand like a lifeline.

As they go to find their other mother, Fia looks preoccupied with her thoughts. She can't stop sniffling.

Wandering back the path all too familiar, though only echoes of their mothers laughter and her frozen tears vying for focus in their heads, layering memories over each other, it was long. Walking at first, each step breaking their hearts more as they leave without their mother, each step building speed until they are running home.

Bursting into the door feeling their world is ending, there was their dragonborn mom, organizing freshly bought crystalline flowers for her wife.

Fialova:

Even though Fia is typically the "stronger" one, she seems particularly small and fragile as she sees what her mother is doing. She knows why mother sets out those flowers. Fia glances at Kyrrix before stepping forwards, still holding his hand tightly.

"Momma is dead," she tells her mother in her head, but the words are quiet like a whisper, even in her head. She doesn't make eye contact with her mother, looking at the flowers she is arranging.

Kyrrix:

“In… in the meadow… a crystal… it…” before he runs up to hug her leg and starts his renewed crying. 😭

Their mom would pause, before turning to her kids with a worried smile. "What do you mean? She should be with-" before she sees both children there, hearing Kyrrix speak now. Their ragged breathing and eyes red from crying, tears still falling. It finally hits her that her children are speaking truth, pulling them both into her arms and hugging them tightly, they feel warm tears on their backs as she pulls them in even closer. In their heads they hear It's okay my gems, it's okay. Momma's got you, it's okay
