Shattered Halo

“Humiel, your halo is shattered.”

Humiel opened their eyes groggily, looking to their partner “What was that Seraph?”

Humiel flinched as they felt a hand on their halo, which shattered in their fall to earth. Seraph, however, didn’t know that xyr betroved was actually a fallen angel.

“It’s shattered. Why?”

“Well,” Humiel hesitated, quickly thinking up a lie “A demon shattered it.”

“A demon? How.”

They sighed, but didn’t speak. Seraph took this as xyr que to stop questioning it, and planted a quick kiss on Humiel’s head.
