Introduction

Aspenview, a small city in a fictionalized version of the 21st century American Midwest. Based heavily on real-life locations in and surrounding Minnesota's Twin Cities.

It has a climate characteristic of the real-life region, with long cold dreary winters and hot humid summers. Curiously, however, the city sees its heaviest boom in travel during the months of August to November, and all major events that have shook the city to its core seem to have taken place within this time window.

If not extremely strange, it could be seen as fortunate, as the city is at its peak visually during this period. Bumpy hills turn vibrant hues of red and orange as trees change color and leaves float down to the grass and pavement below. The weather is placid, coasting consistently somewhere between 55 and 70ºF, with autumn breezes refraining from getting too chilly but the sweaty heats of summer long since passed.

It’s not a particularly large city, being a suburb of the neighboring Winterfield, a frigid yet bustling city that experiences similar phenomena from the months of December to April.

Aspenview is otherwise notable for its numerous rolling hills which house the private estates of several wealthy families, of which one is the Quinns. A town square provides the next closest thing to Winterfield within the city’s borders, with various shops and eateries lining a long tour of the dazzling river that curls through it. Aspenview Academy is the city’s most populous school providing education for grades 7 to 12.

The city’s population is diverse in both economic class and racial identity, being a haven for immigrant families. Overall its inhabitants skew younger.

Seems to be an unrelenting magnet for unnatural phenomena, but what made-up cartoon town isn't?

Residents of the city by season 4 of Soulspace include all of the main cast but Miko and Ki and everyone listed under "Townspeople".
