Lost Soul

"Without a soul, I can't climb out of the riverbed anymore... Like a fragile flower in the watercurrent, i can't escape my fate - Oh, sweet death, please come at me kindly"

When Zhì caught Líu, he made the wish for Líu to be always by his side. It was a selfish wish, and Zhì knew deep down that there was no such thing as 'forever'.

Zhì studied day and night to be able to find something that would bind them together. Reading the old magical language books was hard, and he was close to giving up when one day he stumbled upon the 'Soul Bond'. To be able to share the same soul as another being, is the only way to always stay together.

Zhì was insecure if he should attempt such strong forbidden magic spell, a young teen like him wouldn't possibly be able to safely create such a soulbond... but he did it anyway. Zhì was surprised at himself when he spoke the last word of the magic spell and nothing happened, of couse, he thought: there'd be no way that such thing as a soul bond would be real. Just as he was thinking these words, he suddenly collapsed. It took many days for Zhì to wake up again, and when he finally did... He felt dead inside. There were incredibly negative thoughts stuck in his head, out of nowhere. Cold sweat was running down his whole body when Líu entered the room. "I need that back" he muttered, reaching out to grab Líu.  It took himself a second to stop before Zhì would actually hurt Liu.
The thing he needed... wasn't Líu by his side any longer... he needed Líu's soul. "That's mine" Zhì thought - he finally grasped for air, realizing that the soul bond did in fact work. But rather than connecting two souls, It erased his own, the soul that was inside of his own body moved to Líu's, and now he was longing for his soul back. He became tainted.  From then on, everytime Zhì was on his own, the negative thoughts in his head started to overtake. He wasn't himself anymore. He didn't want to harm Líu, or anyone around him. - and the only way to stop himself from harming others was to erase the living body that remained without a soul.

After Zhì took his own life, Líu has been patiently waiting for Zhì to be reincarnated... but despite all of his efforts, Zhì won't be able to ever return. He can't be reincarnated.
Líu thinks that Zhì left him alone, while in reality Zhì is always with him.... Zhì's soul continues to live inside of Líu's body - Forever.
