Maybe there had been a time, once, when Morgan had looked to the sky with gratitude when good things had come to pass. However, that Morgan was one long gone and not one likely to return ever again. So why was it, that he found himself in front of a shrine at this time? A tall stone rose above him, riddled with words of different prayers for Grace. Various new and old gifts adorned the steps upon which the stone rested. Baskets of food, shields, lights and flowers in various arrangements were among the most common. Smaller trinkets could be seen as well, if one got up close to look. He felt compelled to leave one of his own, as if merely being in the presence of the shrine demanded some sort of gift. So he left one as well, a ring he had once gotten from Adeline to adorn his fingers alongside his wedding ring. He thought leaving it would stir something in him, but for a moment he felt nothing at all. Peaceful for just a second, before he turned his back to the shrine and left. It had been a long time since he had last felt this much at peace, but it was a welcome feeling and one he'd miss once it disappeared once more.
