Burning, like a story awaiting its apex
An empty world with no color, no song
And awaiting its author, lost in vex;
Entrapped, I waited in desire to be wrong
Appearing before me, a poem in definition
A bewitching climax woven in person
A rose, unmatched in rendition
And a draw to my heart that would only worsen
Without perceiving you danced into my thoughts
Staying without forgiving the impasse
Before I could even untangle the knots
And apprehension shattered as glass
The panic fought the wish I held
To finish my fantasy with your flame
And yet, that wish so great I felled
Every fear clinging desperate to my name
Here now among your arms, it feels clear
That my happy ending is a rose colored star
